My Dad would play this album a lot! He’s no longer with us but this entire album sticks with me and I’m reminded of good memories. Miss you Dad!

Some things don't age, not like me. This is the song that sucked me right into listening to Marshall Tucker Band. Still sounds just as fresh to my ears as it did in the mid 70's!

They were a true concert band.
Music, non of the blow it up, flame thrower bs.
      Got stage, played their tunes.
Did a lot of albums in not that long of time. All worth hearing.
Got a lot of good to say in lyrics.
      Down to earth.
I'm a better man for having heard their albums. Before you judge, 1st judge yourself. Like what ya see, don't change it. Don't like it change.
You tell just from music, good people.
Toy was at least bronze star winner. means you think about others before yourself in time of crisis. Good soul. Dedicated lp
Must here. Always pull out the song dedicated for a listen when I lose a loved one. Cry.
Many lately. It's what happens when you have had the privilege to live this long.
But does put my spirits in perspective. They are important part of life & my soul. I'm blessed. Thank you Marshall Tucker Band.

I got to see them twice. Once with the Allmans and Elvin Bishop and later that same year with Lynard Skynard and Elvin Bishop at Mile high stadium and Denver Coliseum. Great shows.I miss seeing all those great concerts back then. It's a gone era for sure. Rock on.

I've never seen a band more times than MTB so it seems odd I've never heard of this album. Seen them in Syracuse about 10 times, Owensboro KY, Houston ,TX, Evansville IN. . Not worth going to anymore bit back in the day they were the best. Doug Gray's voice is shot and as I understand Eubank has left again. Not the same band from the 70's/

Once begun you can't stop listen to such unbelievable synthesis of rock, jazz, blues, country, folk...

Theres some really fucking good riffs on this album. Honestly an underrated band. When you bring up Southern Rock ofc everyone either brings up Lynyrd Skynyrd because they sold the most or The Allman Brothers because they were technically the first even though CCR and Jackson Browne alreayd probably wouldve headed in that direction but you never hear nearly enough about The Marshall Tucker Band. The Outlaws,Ursula Creek,Blackfoot,Molly Hatchet,Black Oak Arkansas, and Atlanta Rhythm Section also get criminally undercut. Black Oak Arkansas are probably one of the trippiest and heaviest bands of all time too tbqh and The Outlaws abd Blackfoot weren't bad in that regard for that time either.

Saw them open for the Guess Who in 1973, Selland Arena, Fresno, California. Nobody had ever heard of them except I had heard a one song on the radio that the dj had played once so people would know what to expect. The song was Take the Highway. I told my friends they were sorta like the Allman Bros. They stole that show.

Hey, mister, got a road map?
    I'm kinda lost
    Gotta get to Georgia tonight
    Don't care what it costs
Been down in Denver jail for four long years
And I'm so homesick I could die
Got a sweet woman back home
    Waitin there for me
Least in all her letters, Lord
    She said she'd be
    Waitin there with open arms
    Born new life for me
And I'm so homesick I could die
    Shot a man in Denver
    Over some money owed
    So she told me
    That I had to go
    But I paid my time
And a new life is gonna be mine
And a new life is gonna be mine
