I really loved the "overrated" video, you hit the nail with those points, no matter what people say, you spoke points. Games are meant to be played, not watched.

From what i understood from his "OVERRATED" video, I dont think he hates cutscenes or good stories. He justs doesnt want the gameplay to be sacrificed for it.

What he did was call these games “objectively bad” and saying that it’s wrong for them to be so popular.
If he just say “I personally didn’t like these games” it would be a different story

You made a comment in your overrated video, about "beating a boss in a game that is way too difficult to be fun." I assumed you were talking about Elden ring or something and I would love to hear you talk about that game. Both in terms of the ridiculous difficulty bragging that has risen in popularity since fromsoft got popular, but also about what it gets right: namely you are in control the whole time and there are no unskippable dialogue or cutscenes or quick times etc.

everything you said about the general public being "uncreative" is just gross and superioristic. and vevn if it were true, it misses the point: even if the vast majority of stuff that you get from putting creative tools in the hands of the genral public is generic and uninteresting, it's still worth it for the few gems that you get. you can simply ignore the bad stuff, you lose nothing from handing those tools out.
though, i think that this doesn't apply to AI, since AI isn't a tool to express your creativity (like a paintbrush), but rather just a machine that creates "creative work" for you.
about Shad's video: While I do think that his original prompt-generated image could pass as human-made, and is thus "good enough", it does show that getting specific results with AI does require at least a lot of technical knowledge. the rest of the video does show, imo, that getting these specific results also requires a good anmount of actualy artistry.
so, while it is concerning how easily you can make "good" pictures, his video does indee show that ai is not a *full* replacement for artists; and certainly isn't a "roullete". if it were, it wouldn't require 25 mins of additional explanation, revision, work with photoshop, etc.
though i do agree that his claims about "keen artistic eye" and such are very wrong.
as for his real art: the human characters are fairly bad, but the way he drew swords and such is awesome! and again, like you yourself said, this is very subjective and not really a good thing to base a follow-up argument on.
about physical work vs art: it depends. a physical job can also come from deep within if it's a "craft": something like making precise musical instruments and such. these things, i'd say, are halfway between manual labor and full art
13:54-15:26 um, wut? artists are valued as fuck, otherwise forgery wouldn't exist
15:30-16:11 fully agreed. finally, someone put into words why purely AI generated "art" isn't art
    17:50 who is that, btw?
17:52-18:27 precisely (except for perhaps the matrix thing). this goes hand-in-hand with your point at 15:30
about the supposed future AI hellscape: i also think this will probably happen, but there still is some hope: the overtraining problem may be unsolvable. and hey, people said the same thing about photoshop, and *that* hasn't happened
P.S.: holy hell, who is that lunatic (the onlyone359)? what the hell drives such people?

3:33 bro, I specifically outlined "If you're talking about other companies IP's..." and then listed other companies' IP, and you are presenting my argument here as if I haven't pointed that out. You presented what I said as "4 out of 6 games he said are fan remakes, therefore he validated my point". Your recap of the argument at 4:44 is plain disingenuous.
I don't understand why you are excluding all the good indie games that were made specifically thanks to open tools from your worldview.
How do you think the "general public" becomes not a general public?
I'm reminded of the Valve documentary that recently dropped, most of the team were "non-professionals", most of them hobbyist map makers, and the engine was literally quake that they slowly modified
    Fascinating

I can write sort of. I dont know how good i am, probably not great.
A long long time ago i used to sketch and draw things. I have since made a full time career as a scientist/educator and feel that i dont have the time to get as good as i want, to flesh out an idea for a graphic novel that i want to create. AI art could help me in this. I have paid an artist before. Cost and time is a factor in all of this. If i had a way to use AI art so that i could begin really producing my story, i could just fulfill one of my dreams which is fully flesh out this story which started in my head 15 yeats ago. Im not searching for any credit from anyone as an artist, I really just want to make the story.
But because you have made me laugh a few times over the course of watching two or three of your videos, my desires can receive no validation until you approve of my decision to use AI art. You will be the voice in the back of my head telling me im a hack and shaking your head in shame. I will grow continously more and more insecure and then keep coming back to your comment section to finally get that thumbs up.
If you just give me the thumbs up now all of this can be avoided. How bout it bro?
A similar moral dilemma back in the day when i dabbled in making hip hop beats with my cousin in fruity loop studio, which tons of people have been doing for decades now.

Thank you so much for speaking out for artists. I think a point that is missed is that artists don't really belong in society, and making art is therapy and without it, you get people like Hitler because when artists can't make art, they either Ann Hero or go mad. To an artist, making art isn't just some pass time. It's a need, as vital as breathing.
