Technology got better, the seamless transitions from cutscene to gameplay became fluid and hence games from major studios became cinematic entertainment. Its what all the major story based companies making games wanted and you just play them for it, if not find something else, there are lot of, infact thousands of games than you mentioned. People enjoy whatever gives them the rush, that's it. Cinematic games do that so yeah your opinion is very subjective.

everything you said about the general public being "uncreative" is just gross and superioristic. and vevn if it were true, it misses the point: even if the vast majority of stuff that you get from putting creative tools in the hands of the genral public is generic and uninteresting, it's still worth it for the few gems that you get. you can simply ignore the bad stuff, you lose nothing from handing those tools out. though, i think that this doesn't apply to AI, since AI isn't a tool to express your creativity (like a paintbrush), but rather just a machine that creates "creative work" for you. about Shad's video: While I do think that his original prompt-generated image could pass as human-made, and is thus "good enough", it does show that getting specific results with AI does require at least a lot of technical knowledge. the rest of the video does show, imo, that getting these specific results also requires a good anmount of actualy artistry. so, while it is concerning how easily you can make "good" pictures, his video does indee show that ai is not a *full* replacement for artists; and certainly isn't a "roullete". if it were, it wouldn't require 25 mins of additional explanation, revision, work with photoshop, etc. though i do agree that his claims about "keen artistic eye" and such are very wrong. as for his real art: the human characters are fairly bad, but the way he drew swords and such is awesome! and again, like you yourself said, this is very subjective and not really a good thing to base a follow-up argument on. about physical work vs art: it depends. a physical job can also come from deep within if it's a "craft": something like making precise musical instruments and such. these things, i'd say, are halfway between manual labor and full art 13:54-15:26 um, wut? artists are valued as fuck, otherwise forgery wouldn't exist 15:30-16:11 fully agreed. finally, someone put into words why purely AI generated "art" isn't art 17:50 who is that, btw? 17:52-18:27 precisely (except for perhaps the matrix thing). this goes hand-in-hand with your point at 15:30 about the supposed future AI hellscape: i also think this will probably happen, but there still is some hope: the overtraining problem may be unsolvable. and hey, people said the same thing about photoshop, and *that* hasn't happened P.S.: holy hell, who is that lunatic (the onlyone359)? what the hell drives such people?

To me Uncharted 4 is the WORST uncharted, boring, and i fucking hate the wife part, The Last of Us was a good aesthetic game in 2013, is like Spec-Ops the line, a game that should have been "one and done", but was no way a game for a franchise and as a videogame is highly overrated, last of us 2 is just a mediocre game with pretty graphics but horrible story and characters, i even like Demon Souls and Metal Gear 4 better as videogames on the ps3., God of War ps4 was shocking cause the aesthetic but the story was poor and slow, the gaming had good art and potential but lost the action and epic aspect of the classics, and Ragnarok is trash, Metal Gear V is an unfinished game, if Kojima would have made Metal Gear V in the same structure of Peace Walker but with the fox engine would have been a way better game

God of War and the Last of Us are one of the best games I ever played. I personally don't like open world games because of the bloat that comes with them, but I ain't going to say that Elden Ring or Witcher 3 are overrated. They just aren't what I'm into. The problem is that people view games as books, all about the story and getting to the end. In reality games, at least GOOD ONES, are more like music in design. You play a piece of music not to get to the end and then you're finished regardless of how well you did; you recite and practice again and again until you can play the song perfectly as written on the sheet. I know it's a very old-school, arcade style of veiwing the purpose of video games but the best games have a lot of this arcade game design.

I gotta be honest. I love video games but as I get older I can compare the peak of movies/tv to the peak of video games and the two just don’t compare. In almost all aspects acting, writing, cinematography, plot, setting. But this also makes sense it’s extremely difficult to render an entirely made up world and then also put as much time and attention into the writing/acting. I get pretty emotional watching edits of old games I played growing up. But I think it’s because of nostalgia mostly. I don’t get emotional by games I’m playing right now. But for movies I get emotional for ones I watch now and old ones because of nostalgia

He wasn't sure of anything. Neil changed this position after people started to like Joel and call him a hero for doing the only thing a human father would do for his daughter. Again game audio said the cure was not a definite thing. This is not a fan theory or anything. Therefore to even use that a basis of Joel's actions doesn't make sense. The glory of the first game was it was up to the player to decide if Joel was right.
