The aliens gave us a happy ending and false hope at least. But it just goes to show you (us), that this planet and we humans as a species are very fragile ! Our sweet paradise that we take for granted can come to an end at any time from a multitude of causes.
Where is logic in this movie? Well, the plane disaster was sort of true but like, that train, it was at the speed of a regular New York subway train! If the train was moving at that speed, how could it have gone that far into flipping on its side, crashing into a whole train, and a whole station! Where does that come from? Because it could have easily stopped when it crashes into the train. It's like two cars, for example. One car crashes into the other but, imagine they're the same size, same look, everything. They'll stop once they collide, all that damage, etc. But for a train, really! Those trains weigh more than my mom, and I don't see that 4 train stopping anywhere. Plus, the train could've gone on emergency break once he saw the sparks. But of course, he keeps going.
I didn't mind Cage in this movie at all. I think he did incredibly well. The aliens kind of threw me off but I honestly can't complain that much. The movie was good.

Good Guy Nicolas puts out miniscule fires in the rain and runs towards giant flameballs that only moments previously had engulfed 5 people.
That subway was A LOT faster than it should be.
Wilhelm was killed in the subway freak accident, but that final shreik from a dying woman......was cold. Fucked up. I should check this movie out.
