- Battlefield 2042 has a new World War 2 time travel game mode that plays really well on the new maps. BF1942 classes and everything. Good stuff! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

The big building is called "Vehicle Assembly Building" because the Saturn Vs were assembled there vertically. As far as I know it is the highest single storey building in the world with about 160 m hight.

Just in case it hasn't been stated yet, the anti-tank class in 1942 regenerates rocket ammunition for your primary weapon over time.
Damn i had no idea about that and I played 1942 like crazy its was my second fps game i ever bought.

thanks to seeing this comment before the end I noticed you can see the ammo start to recharge right on screen there on the ammo counter, he just didn't get to notice and either got killed or swapped weapons right as he might have been about to realize. Also! He regenerated a rocket the second he said "I don't have any rockets, do you have any rockets mate"

Played this mode earlier. It was nice having guns with actual recoil and not getting beamed 100m away. Fun vid Jack!

Wish they wouldve used a custom reshade pack for this mode, the WW2 weapons with the bright saturated maps just doesnt gel lol
Honestly that reshade pack would be welcome for the game in general. The colors in 2042 don't align with the Battlefield series. Just looks off.
I agree, but also think the color palette is off in general.
A reshade pack would have beeing so much work, but some post process effects applied like a filter is possible
Need that brown or green 360 filter back or the alien piss blue filter of BF3.

@@a0000a1234 It’s all subjective. I think for me the setting is really what makes me dislike bg5 and bf1.
BF1 felt like an indie compared to BF4/Hardline and those were a downgrade to BF3

Wow, the good memories of BF 1942 flooding back hearing the classic music. I'd pay for a remastered BF and the original 1942 maps/weapons/gameplay without all the extra customization. Just clean up the graphics.

@@guardianangel379 Same, I'd be all for that. Battlefield Vietnam was such an underrated game. Came out too close to the release of BF2 to really have a chance, unfortunately.
I want a new BF Vietnam with all the classic original soundtrack from BF Vietnam 2005. It was the most childhood BF I've ever play especially soundtrack, and lifting a vehicles on a chopper and constant fighter jet dog fight, since the vehicles spam was faster compare to new BF like BF1 and BF5.

I remember back in bfv when a bomber drops a bomb the explosions where huge and very destructive. In 2042 the fireball effects looks good but doesn't effect any structures once hit, but from the trailers, i prefer the menacing nuke explosions.

BF2142 modes were a lot of fun. Like the Titan fight, pod surfing, meeting on top of a skyscraper in Berlin to do a knives only, etc

The Stuka was my favourite WW2 aeroplane when i was younger. I used to make the airfix kits and then make a right arse of it when it came to the painting.
I'm just happy that we're getting more traditional class-based specialists! That alone will get me playing again
The only thing that holds this game back for me is just the lack of guns and attachments. I had the same problem with bf1 but the gameplay was so fun and they added in so many guns after that it was fine. 2042 hasn’t done enough yet

I really miss the BF1942 and BF2 game modes with a few weapons to choose from after you've lvl'd the class, I love modding weapons as much as anyone else, but knowing the playing field is "leveled" between everyone using similar weapons was just more fun for me, instead of some Engineer running around with a shotgun with slugs hitting sniper shots
For me, my issue with BF1 was I believe the gunplay got worse than BF4 like the bloom and the sweet spot made the game kinda messy and annoying but the graphics and immersion makes it still my favorite in the series. But personal best gameplay in the series is easily BFV.

You are hands down the best BF player I have ever seen. You make it look so easy getting head shots and clearing squads it is ridiculous! I think though after watching all your BF2042 videos I'll redownload it. It looks like it's finally in a place where it should be. Also I love that they have actual German soldiers speaking German it is so much better than CoD in the regard.
Idea for the new battlefield… cross era warfare. Each map has different variants so could be WW2 inspired, Vietnam based, modern day or more futuristic. Each weapon and vehicle also has different era variants. Keeps the game feeling fresh and stops us getting bored of the same era

Classes are gonna be great for the return of teamplay but I've learned to be self-reliant on the field and I consistently score well enough that I'm not super hype for this change 🙃
Yeah same here man. I got used to just carry an ammo box for myself since i frequently ran out and noone else seemed to drop ammo. Dont know what im gonna do, when i cabt carry ammo on zain or casper anymore.

The "home for space rockets" is often called the "Vehicle Assembly Building" or "VAB".
They really should have leaned into the portals mode from the get-go. The maps we have from the retro games is severely lacking.

This game has been so much more fun since they fixed the recoil, it really is a night and day difference for me
what was the issue with the recoil. I literally haven't noticed anything being different after the update

@@thomascoburn5481 No, someone found a issue with the aiming that was there since the start and Dice came out with a update which fixed it. Some guns you can't really noticed a difference but with portal weapons specifically is makes a big difference

Genuinely think ww2 games are becoming less and less popular because the kids who now play shooters expect bright colours flashy lights and instant stimulation also nowadays not many kids have relatives who fought in those wars and can't understand first hand the plight of the soldiers.
It's a shame. Ww2 themed shooters are some of my favourites w@w before it was a hacked mess was easily one of my top 5 games all time

Like @BUGBucket said, we've gotten alot of WW2 shooters in the last 5-10 years. And to your comment about bright colours and instant stimulation - it can be argued that realistic, tactical shooters like Escape from Tarkov are more popular than ever. Furthermore, games like Hell Let Loose are perfect examples of slower, authentic WW2 gameplay.

tactical left turns ,, the line ( you'd be surprised how flying in a straight line randomly throws some players off )
