I live a few hours away and my city doesn't have a team anymore, so I'll be cheering for them since it's the closest team and I love the branding

The gladiators play in the same league as the ghost pirates
Love this team already. Live in the area and my parents got me a shirt for X-mas that I would've gotten, but it was sold out online.

Our team is named on two key things. We have the most haunted city in the south and famous pirates during the Caribbean pirates wars such as Billy the Kid and Edward Teach(Black Beard) took up refuge in Savannah. You all should visit the world famed Pirate house in downtown Savannah and enjoy southern cuisine and brief history on such events. #reeseinthecrease #traindontstop

I wish the ECHL bring back the Oklahoma City Blazers, this would help the Tulsa Oilers and bring back the Turner Turnpike Series and the rivalry is very intense and lots of fun to watch and witness tons of fights. Look it up on RUclips, check it out Neil.
There's no arena left in Oklahoma City except for the Thunder arena.
In fairness, the Milwaukee Admirals have already taken the best ghost pirate logo I’ve seen. (I understand it’s a skeleton but regardless it’s an undead sailor.)
I don’t see that at all. Sperm look more like tadpoles, long skinny tails, I can see how the bottom looks more like a hornet though.

Look at the Savannah Bananas Logo. It is a spin on that.
I think this logo looks amazing. To me in my opinion it looks like a ghost.
We go to tons of Grizzlies games. The ECHL’s talent is subpar, but the games are fun!

I'm not too bothered by the design of the ghost but I see where you're coming from. I can't wait to go to Atlanta next season to watch 'em play the Gladiators. Georgia (and Tennessee, that's why I vote to move the Coyotes to Memphis and make them in-state rivals with Nashville if we can't have the Preds in the eastern conference) could really use an in-state in any professional sport and the original capital versus the current capital is a perfect way to start.

I personally love everything about it, he’s shaped like a ghost in a way that Casper is…however lol perhaps that would then make it 10x worse from your perspective lol. But I love it, the name is awesome I’m garbage at coming up with team names so kudos for that

That's what they get for trying to copying the Savannah Bananas logo at the bottom. Well the logo looks decent and having the name of the Savannah Bananas and they could have gone with a worse name instead of Ghost Pirates. I take it as a Savannahian and I cannot unsee the logo.

Eh, this doesn't bug me. Looks like a ghost in a lot of different cartoon settings like Casper, Luigi's Mansion, Looney Tunes, etc.

I wish the Knights would have worked in Omaha. You would think a market of that size would support pro hockey. Instead, they're left with a junior team that has some drama right now.

I’ve been joking with Nick at TWH for a few weeks now about this new team. Solar Bears, Swamp Rabbits, and now Ghost Pirates! The ECHL truly is the gift the keeps on giving to the hockey world!

No offence but it sounds like the team was made by a 4 year old, plus when you hear something like “oh we are facing the ghost pirates” you probably don’t feel threatened. Like I know it’s a good name for them, but seriously? Ghost pirates? When you hear ghost pirate you think of halloween, not professional sports team.
It's possible you're not aware of the ECHL, but they have a history of having some silly names, so it's really not that out of place. They currently have a team called the Solar Bears and Swamp Rabbits so... yeah.
