sun doesn't rise or we are the truth from mushroomhead
We are the truth is slightly slowed down in the music video, so the album version is better. Seen it All is another good song, the singer with the hands mask isn’t with them anymore so you won’t hear him in it as it’s from their newest album
sun doesnt rise or simple survival imho
No Mother Machine Gun love?
Bwomp or gtfo lol
Real mask. In person all the masks are great. Great live show.
They make all their mask
@@leethibidaux1641 they customize they do not make them.
They stopped to wonder and I was like "oh just wait..."
@@gothiclala They do customize their masks but they also actually do make their masks. I personally know them and they've come in my store with paint and other mess on them from making them. Js.
@@krisypoindexter530 ...... You literally just echoed what I said ......
Gotta do old MRH, Solitaire/Unraveling is a good choice, was the song that turned me on to the band originally
Same here. Still one of their best songs even today. We are the truth and 12hundred are pretty badass as well.
Facts
Lets not forget the song These filthy hands thats a badass song
Yes thats his real mask all the masks they wear are real
Anything from XIII favorite album it's perfect
They did a cover of Seal's "Crazy" back in the day. Great band.
One of my all-time favorite covers
I just typed this comment out.. BEST COVER EVER! YES! EVERYONE needs to hear it!
Other good mushroomhead songs
solitaire unraveling
Out of my mind
We are the Truth
New cult is amazing too(I most likely misspelled it like a moron)
Wrist and never let it go
@@jf2849 We're on the same page!
Mushroomhead - Solitair/Unraveling
"Bwomp" is seriously flow heavy and has that vibe of Horrorcore to it
Mushroomhead were the first in '93, then slipknot '95, mudvayne '96
man who cares who came out when. mushroomhead, slipknot and mudvayne are all great bands. just stfu n enjoy!!!!!
The guys in the video asked the question and told people too comment the answer you idiot, so you stfu fool, I been enjoying for years!!!!!
@@charleswarner7678 learn to stfu and listen
@@charleswarner7678 they asked in the video dude learn to listen with your ears
@@charleswarner7678 lol you were told 🤣
Jeffrey, j-man and waylon all did vocals on this album
Seeing them perform with all three vocalists was awesome.
To make a few points:
-During this period they actually had 3 vocalists. JMann (Magneto) provided the rapping and growling), Waylon (the guy with the white face) provided clean vocals and shared growling with J, and Jeffery Nothing (the guy with hands mask) provided his unique vocal style. Both Waylon and Jeffery have since left the group though.
-The Masks are 100% real. They even occasionally sell them and replicas.
-Mushroomhead Predated Slipknot; and it was even a long-standing point of contention between the two bands. Even leading to physical altercations. Though, they've since buried the grude.
-The guy with the "nightmare" mask, is Stitch; and he acts as their sampler/keyboardist/water drummer during live shows. He also has another band called "Ventana" that you might be interested in reacting to.
-It also BEGS mentioning, that if you do react to more Mushroomhead songs, DEFINITELY react to their older stuff and NOT their new stuff. Pretty much after this album and subsequent tour, about half the and left or were fired. Including founding members Jeffery Nothing and Shmotz, as well as longtime member Waylon, and their guitarist Church. These days MH has a reputation for having a toxic environment within the band; and their recent output is very lacking.
They always wear mask. No cgi. And stitch at the beginning, I hung out with him once after a show. Definitely do more Mushroomhead and static-x
I recommend Bwomp, Before I Die, These Filthy Hands, or The New Cult King. All great.
love Bwomp and Xeroxed
Also - Never let it go, fear held dear, burn and 12 hundred
Mother Machine Gun
@@IPfreely333 I was about to put this into a comment, but I don't think they ever did videos for anything off of Mushroomhead or Super Buick. Unless it was show footage.
Bwomp was always one of my favorites
mushroom heads-simple survival. dts the bettertchoice
Mushroomhead - "Bwomp" Straight bars and creepy as hell, absolute classic.
Solitaire/Unraveling and Sun Doesn't Rise by MRH, gotta check those out
Solitaire unraveling
At this point in their career, they actually had a rapper and two singers.
Never heard Mushroomhead before. That was really good. I dig that.
The you might like a song they did called Sun Doesn't Rise.
Mushroomhead’s first album came out in 1995, a few years before the other bands. Been jamming these guys from the beginning 🤘🏻
Gwar first album, Hell-O, came out in 1988.
Gwar shouldn't have been in this conversation. Wrong genre
MRH was actually formed in 1993. Two years before their first album. So they are before Slipknot.
What do you think of the shit show it has become now? Now it’s like Muhrmhed 😂
Had to watch this before I left for work. Have a great day fam.
U as well
love this song! still reccomend Alestorm shipwrecked, love me some "pirate metal" 😁
YES
Omg YES!!!
There is pirate rap too.

Alestorm yes great choice
Need to do more mushroomhead
Glad you guys enjoyed this. I'm a big fan of theirs. Solitaire unraveling, 1200, xeroxed, bwomp, kill tomorrow, so many other good ones from these guys. They also have a new album coming out this month.
Love seeing rap channels reacting to metal/rock music, it shows that everyone is free to love and listen to more than one genre of music :D I think it's so much better if you enjoy all kinds of music :D Great video guys I have subscribed :D
For another time: react to "you only live once" from Suicide Silence.
You should react to "The end of all we know" from Bleed From Within, too
Two amazing songs and are what metal is
Qwerty= questioning what everyones really telling you
I would say the big 4 for the nu-metal genre are Korn (since they invented the genre), mushroomhead, system of a down, and Slipknot. Used those 2 because they brought it into the mainstream when it first blew up.
John wick is that you???
Thank you!!! I kept yelling Korn at my phone!!! Lol...
That song there were 3 singers. They have undergone a number of lineup changes and aren't the same as they used to be.
"Come on " is one of my favorite songs by them
Mine too and save us

mushroomhead out of my mind
Mushroomhead has been out since 93. Super Buick is a landmark album.
Awesome video as usual guys. This song is from a 2014 album called "The Righteous and the Butterfly", and I absolutely love that album, it has no weak songs in my opinion. Other great songs from that album are "Out of my Mind" (pretty explicit video) and "We Are the Truth", you should try them! There's also "Seen it All" which was released like a month ago (1st single released from their upcoming album) and is a really awesome song by them, and another good one is "Sun Doesn't Rise" from their 2003 album.
You asked about gwar... gonna have to go with the classic "sick of you"
They do a lot of combining rapping, screaming and singing vocals. For one of their songs with some straight up flow, try Bwomp and Bwomp (extended), Solitaire/Unraveling, Xeroxed. For some other great ones, These Filthy Hands, Save Us and Embrace the Ending (basically one song split in two), I could just list their whole album list, I don't think they ever really had any bad songs, but their first three unsigned albums were their most experimental.
Slipknot was late 90s, Mushroomhead was around in like 93 or so, Mudvayne... I wanna say like 97. But Mushroomhead wasn't the first with the crazy makeup, but they were the first to combine the makeup with innovative, genre bending, complex, math, alternative metal that all three bands did/do. At their biggest, Mushroomhead had 3 vocalists, bass player, 2 guitarists, keyboards, and a drummer, and on certain songs the keyboardist and one of the guitarists would play drum kits at the front of the stage that had multicolor leds that have water pouring over the top of the heads while they play.
Mushroomhead - out of my mind. Great song and fantastic video. They have a very unique sound with three singers, especially with their new lineup
qwerty is about the keyboard warriors
Omfg I miss going to their shows, they would come to a little spot that used to be called alrosavilla in Columbus Ohio sadly the location dimebag from Pantera was murdered but my best friend and I never missed a show always up front getting soaked by the water drums! Ah I miss the older MRH
They started with 2 singers, then one left and rejoined, now they have 3. All different styles, rapping, screaming etc. Also listen to solitare unraveling next, prob there best song!!!!
@Lost yet Found No. I think it's just two vocalists now. J Mann and Rauckhorst.
I know Waylon and Jeffrey both left the band, but I'd like to see em all join back again. Though I doubt it'll ever happen.
@Lost yet FoundI don't think so. He's rocking it with A Killer's Confession. Different sound than MRH but awesome
@Lost yet Found one of their heavier songs are L.O.L. more melodic try the shore
Just found you guys watched/listened to ya all day at work.. imma through one out there still haven’t gotten anyone I like watching to do it!
Nekrogoblikon we need a gimmick. It’s a fun ass band
GWAR is actually one of the original groups to start the mask and makeup along with KISS and Alice Cooper from there bands like mushroom head, slipknot, mudvayne and others from it into nightmares are made of and I love it
Good to see you guys continuing with this band. They are mainly rock/metal music, but I know I suggested this one because it really does go hard and have a bit of a rap vibe to it, figured you guys would be into it. Plus, I mean their costumes are insane these days.
If you'd like to continue, then these are some good ones. Take care you guys.
"Sun Doesn't Rise" - ruclips.net/video/kOaqcfTZgno/видео.html
"Crazy" (a cover of the Seal song) - ruclips.net/video/O-gKPEdn3eQ/видео.html
Solitaire/Unraveling was the song that got me into Mushroomhead like the other guy who posted before me. They are a very versatile band, they will play anything and their masks have evolved over time. They have been one of my favorites and have some l seen them plenty of times in the past 3 years since they like to come to Texas a lot
In that video there were actually three vocalists. Mushroomhead has had quite a few lineups over the years. Solitaire Unraveling, Mother Machinegun, Destroy the World Around Me and Kill Tomorrow are some good ones to check out.
Good gwar song is slaughterama. Bring back the bomb, or think you outta know this
They actually got 3 singers one does singing one does the rapping type parts and the other one sings and screams
I also love there hydro drums
Wait they have those 3 singers and Jackie?
@@user-tx9eg4tc8o No still three since Jeff left left a couple years ago too. Jackie is pretty much a mainstay now. So there's J-Mann, Jackie, and Steve Rauckhorst (basically Jeff's replacement).
@@Revananthx Jeff was my favorite in the band. He's started his own band a killers confession
You guys are awesome! Next reaction should be the HU, either Yvuve Yvuve Yu, or Wolf Totem with Jacoby Shadix
@trashtalkers if you like this, check out Hed (pe) Renegade. Jerrod can flow too!
Been trying for a while to get reactors to listen to Hed PE...Jared speaks much truth in his lyrics
12 hundred
Sun Doesn't Rise
Kill Tomorrow
Solitaire Unraveling
Simple Survival
A man of culture I see 👌
When writing songs you use temp titles... QWERTY is the temp title and they kept it. The masks are all silicone. The rapper also has the "rap group" "10,000 Cadillacs" if your interested. The more ya know. 😃
With the singers hand mask, pretty sure he got the inspiration from Pan's Labyrinth, where one of the monsters has his eyes in his palms and uses his hands to see. If he didn't get inspiration from that movie, that's one hell of a coincidence.
hi, guys. great reaction! I wanted to let you know I dusted off this old reaction and made a new “Reactors Reacting To…” compilation of this song. your reaction was to good to not add in. keep up the good work.
-Shotaholic
10 years- paralyzing kings
Out of my mind.Great song and video.
Watch “Devils be damned,” by mushroom head
Hey guys! New fan here!
I was looking at this just now, and about the "4th band", the only one that came to mind is (maybe?) American Head Charge? I don't know, but now I remember those guys 🤷🏻♀️ Listen to "Just so you know" or "Seamless".
I have not read the other comments, so I don't know if someone has already named them or if they have already heard them. Greetings!
Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds is one you should look into.
this made my day
Mushroomhead has had multiple singers and "extra" members, just like Slipknot. Originally, they had two singers, JMann and Jeffrey Nothing. JMann was the guy with the "Magneto" mask and he has the deepest vocals and raps at times. Jeffrey Nothing had the highest pitch vocals on this song. JMann left the band after the XIII album, to connect with his father that was dying. He helped pick his replacement, which was Waylon Reavis. Waylon Reavis was on two albums prior to this album, where JMann rejoined, and they had all 3 singers. After this album, the pianist left the band (Shmotz). Waylon also left, and has since formed A Killer's Confession. In my opinion, he had the best vocal range out of the 3. He could almost go as high pitched as Nothing, and almost as deep as JMann. Jeffrey Nothing also has now left, and he has been replaced. JMann is still in the band.
There's some history for ya. Nice reaction for this song!
Here's some reactions, and I'll include who's singing on each recommendation.
Starting with original lineup (JMann & Nothing): Indifferent, Bwomp, Solitaire Unraveling, The Wrist, Kill Tomorrow, Sun Doesn't Rise, Almost Gone, Crazy (Seal cover)
Post JMann (Waylon & Nothing): Damage Down, Simple Survival, Save Us/Embrace the Ending, Inspiration, Come On, Your Soul Is Mine
All 3 (JMann, Waylon, & Nothing): For Your Pleasure, and actually, just this one. They've gone back and removed Waylon from other songs and videos.
For Waylon's new band, A Killer's Confession, check out 1080p, L.O.L., Numb, I Wish, Satisfied, Reanimated
Mushroomhead was definitely the first of these groups. Formed back in 93, it just happened that Slipknot became big while Mushroomhead was more underground initially
Aight, so, Solitaire/Unraveling is a must.
And really, anything off of Righteous and the Butterfly is great.
Great band live!!!! Bass player is Pig Benis lol, do some of their early stuff solitaire unraveling and bwomp. Thanks guys, love you already after only a few watches!
Some of my favorite songs from them are Sun Doesn't Rise, Kill Tomorrow, 12 Hundred and Simple Survival.
As far as song titles go, they don't always have to be sung in a song. Like Sevendust's song Waffle.
I can't recommend this band enough. One of my personal favorite nu-metal bands. Son Doesn't Rise is a track I think you'll both thoroughly enjoy.
Mushroom head - Sun Doesn't Rise. Keep on rockin'!
One of my favorite Mushroomhead songs was Simple Survival. Solitaire unraveling will always be one of the greats as well
Waylon is what you think is a singer who was probably one of the best thing that came to that band and sing scream and soft very versatile
You guys are funny as shit. Love the channel
Freaking love we are the truth and this one.Bump to this at the gym bench press
That is Stitch. He's the keyboardist/DJ in the band. That's what his mask looks like
Love GWAR! Been around since the 80s. They don't have many videos but you can check out "Let Us Slay", there is a live version of "If you want blood" and they did a hilarious cover of "Carry on Wayward Son" by Kansas. I have several fave songs from each of their albums but again they do not have too many videos. Another super fun band like GWAR is Lordi. I have seen them too many times to count and my all-time favorite would be Blood Red Sandman, but you might like Hard Rock Hallelujah, Bringing Back the Balls to Rock, and The Riff!!!
QWERTY could be a reference to the keyboard, and the phenomenon of "keyboard balls," how people will say anything from the safety of the other side of their keyboard.
Also, Sun Doesn't Rise is my favorite Mushroomhead song.
A band I wish someone would react to is Shattermask. They were a small band from the St Louis area. Their most popular song was probably AK, but Divine God was a great one too.
I knew you guys would dig Mushroomhead! They have a a bunch of great tunes. I still feel like you would dig a song by them called "Sun Doesn't Rise", somebody stated their cover of Seal's "Crazy", that's another good one. A bunch of good ones, but those are some good ones
Kiss '73, GWAR '84, Mushroomhead '93, Slipknot '95, Mudvayne '96....only ones i can think of right now that are from a while back, the rest are all newer bands
Jinger - pieces. This is a must watch. I will comment this every day until you watch this.
I love GWAR!!! The first song I heard by them was "Slaughterama", which is a hilarious song!!! Other one's that are great: "Gor Gor", "Have You Seen Me?", "The Road Behind" ( from the album "America Must Be Destroyed"...many more slipping my mind...lol...
There are 3 vocalists in mushroomhead, I think for this album it was Jeffrey Hatrix, Jason Popson and Waylon Reavis
Gwar - madness at the core of time. Great song and it shows alot of live content.
I was working barricade during a GWAR concert. They were cutting Sarah Pailin in half, spraying the crowd with brown colored water out of a toilet and the lead singer sprayed the crowd with his gonorrhea pig d... crazy
Holy shit, that was fucking bad ass. My first time listening to Mushroom Head. Loved them, it's been awhile since I had new music to listen to. Hope they are all just as good. Thanks guys. Guys with masks equals bad ass. Dont forget Hollywood Undead. Rock/Rappers with masks.
You guys gotta check out their other songs like Solitaire Unraveling or 12 Hundred. If you want more masked bands I'd recommend Terror Universal. Loved the reaction \m/
You guys need to react to "Slaughter to prevail Demolisher"
Sounds like when I was in middle school and was on Zoloft and Paxil but I took enough to be the equivalent of Ecstasy because they do the same stuff but in lower dosages so if you take enough of them it’s the same experience
Mushroomhead "We are the truth" check it out. You can hear the female vocals alongside the other two vocals
Best MRH song hands down is Becoming Cold. Awesome groove, killer chorus, nasty breakdown to wrap it up. All the elements that make it their best tune ever.
The one you said looks like magneto actually had a straight up rap project with the drummer called 10’000 Cadillacs, you should check them out
Qwerty was just the file name they chose when they saved the song in Protools. That's the only reason why it's named Qwerty.
Brand new Mushroomhead album just came out, check out "The Heresy" by them.
It's a bit of a longer song (somewhere in the range of a TOOL song) but you guys should check out I'm the Mountain by Stoned Jesus. You won't regret it!
3 vocalists in this song, check out We Are the Truth with 4 vocalists. The Heresey only has 2 but it’s a great recent track
Mushroomhead's new album comes out June 28th. First Single is Its a Wondrful Life. Video is badass.
My favorite GWAR song is The Road Behind. But so you know almost all the GWAR videos have removed for american audiences. You should check out one of their movies, Phallus In Wonderland is epic.
Glad you liked it guys!! great song!!!
I think bwamp is the most rap flow jam the put out at least back in they day .. itz gold
Pretty sure they saw a keyboard and said "that'll do". I'd put these guys as a cross between Slipknot and Rob Zombie. I can't believe I hadn't heard of them - I love this sort of thing.
Their songs "Solitaire Unraveling", "Becoming Cold" and "Kill Tomorrow" will always be my favorites.
It is a real mask. They are all real masks 😍 That was filmed in our haunted houses THE FEAR EXPERIENCE in Cleveland, Ohio. Amazing group of guys!!! There are 3 lead singers Jman, Waylon and Jeff
Other masked bands included Sykotik Sinfoney, and Green Jello. The name Mushroomhead refers to the fans of the band being like mushrooms, and the band is the shit on which they feed. That is similar to Slipknot's maggots, which are their fans, and the band is the rotting corpse on which they feed.
Sun Doesn't Rise is another good one.
