We’re you ever able to get LL + Calibre + Calibre-Web properly setup? The best instructions I could find are here (www.reddit.com/r/LazyLibrarian/comments/eczkhj/lazylibrarian_calibre_calibreweb_setup/) but it’s not auto-populating in Calibre-web for some reason.
I am very new to unraid and have really enjoyed your videos they have helped me alot in setting up most of my server. I would love to see a video on setting up readarr and calibre to work together

DrDrewsAdventures does cops support comic books very well ? I'm looking at ubooquity but there are no tutorials like spaceinvader out there and would rather follow his if it works well
HaHussle honestly, it does not work well at all. I would recommend using Ubooquity as I’ve completely converted to that. It’s really not so difficult to set up.

While I have yet to move it over to my unRAID server, I actually like something like Ubooquity a bit better than COPS. Tho I think that's mainly because I have it set up to share my Calibre Library & my Digital Comic collection, both via a web portal & OPDS to my eReader & iPad. I would love to see a guide from you on what kinda of unRAID setup you'd recommend for this and/or some kinda of comic book fetching automation like you did with PLEX, Sonarr, & Radarr.
@SpaceInvaderOne RDP Calibre is not available in the Apps store for Unraid. I tried using "linuxserver's repository" version and it seems to work fine. One thing I did notice is that Firefox doesn't seem to work (clicking on the GMX or book store link doesnt redirect) despite installing it successfully according to the cmd line. Any thoughts?

@@diverstrelok If you're using linuxserver's release of Calibre, most people overlook the password field's description using MD5 Hash for the password you want and not the actual raw password. I just go to something like md5hashgenerator.com and throw in the password for it to generate one.
Ed, how would I go about properly configuring the config_local.php file if I need to enter an "array" line for multiple Calibre database entries that results in the command string spanning multiple lines? Every format I have tried fails. Does the command have to be treated as a "string" in this case? If so, how would I format it? Thanks!

For love nor money can I get the calibre content server to be accessible outside my home network, I have forward the port on my router, but not luck.. any ideas what I'm doing wrong? sorry I'm a bit of a noob at this.
I tried to share my server so i can access it from my custom dns but i got a random ip like 172.17.0.7. I tried to change it but its not working. Any tips ?
From the aptalca github (besides use another container on the apps page to make your life simpler): 2017-06-24: LIBRARYINTERNALPATH and URLPREFIX variables are deprecated. They were required for the calibre webserver. The new webserver should be enabled from the calibre gui under Preferences/Sharing over the net. Port has to be set to 8081
Hey just wondering, if I wanted to share my COPS WebUI with a friend so theyd have to just enter an ip address and it would take them to the COPS page, how would I go about doing that? I hear we're not supposed to port forward to unRAID, but with 6.4 you're able to assign IPs to dockers, does that solve the problem?? Thanks for all your content. youre awesome!
Hi maxistviews. I wouldnt forward any ports even to a separate ip docker container. You could use a reverse proxy which i will do a video on soon. Thanks for watching
How to update the version of calibre? it is 3.1.1 and 3.31.0 is out and in calibre says update is found but can not get it to update. any suggestions? thanks in advance and great work on all of your unraid videos.
Following the method used to add the LIBRARYINTERNALPATH variable in the guide, add the following new variable: Key = EDGE, Value = 1. With that set, RDP-Calibre will update to the latest version of Calibre whenever it starts up (which could take a moment, depending on bandwidth).
Yes, you can just point the app to the library on the unRAID server. Just have a mapped drive to were the calibre library is then goto create/switch library and point it to the location of the unRAID calibre database.
Just to note when you changed Network Type to br0, this is not available in the stable version 6.3.5. It sadly took me longer than it should of to realize that little tidbit. I'm hesitant to run a beta version at this point so i'll hold off a little longer. Also have you thought about a video about Let’s Encrypt / NGINX? It be nice to see how you setup and figure out how to get COPS to work with it.

I used Apple /. iPad for "Choose eBook" section and get another section, about turning on Content Server. I think this section is for iOS apps that can talk remotely to calibre.
I got a problem: I have a pc with an ssd and a 1tb hdd and recently another 500gb hdd and a r7 260x. I want to have a pc for myself and 2vms for gaming with friends. I just created my own gaming vms on the 500gb hdd with win10 and passed through the gpus. Because my internet connection is so slow, and the disk on wich i installed the vms is only 500gb in size i wanted to use the 1tb hdd on wich my games are stored also in the array so i dont have to install all my games again. I ticked the checkbox in the unraid web manager for disk2 and choosed the 1tb drive, now i cant acces it anymore when i boot windows from my ssd without unraid. Is all my data lost or is there a way to acces the files?
Hi Christoph. I am a bit confused as to what has happened. Can you pm me and explain in a bit more detail. I am assuming you passed through a disk that you had as a bare metal windows machine and now that will only boot as a windows vm from unraid and not when back configured as bare metal. Maybe post some screenshots of things etc. Thanks.
I added my disk on wich my steam libary is installed on to the array of unraid so i dont have to reinstall everything again. I didnt formated it. The drive shows as "unmountable" in unraid. When I boot up from my ssd again for normal windows use, the drive does not show up in the file explorer, but it does in the partition manager. It lost its name, just a blank space and I cant do anything else to it than delete it. Just tried out to acces it with a file recovery tool, but it says " Failed to scan the following drives: \\.\HarddiskVolume5: Unable to determine file system type "
I'm going to have to pass on calibre until I can find a good tutorial on getting it automated and syncing with readarr properly. Trying on my own has crashed my server twice as calibre seems to always shoot it up to 100%CPU usage on all 4 cores as soon as it needs to load or import something :(
I love following your previous tutorials and for some reason (I cannot for the life of me figure out). When I launch the WebUI 7:45 in the video and it goes to a Calibre ebook management page with only 3 main buttons "Newest", "All Books", and "Random Book". It never goes to the Session screen or the Calibre Welcome Wizard. And I have retried it following the steps closely to no luck. Please Help!! :(
While trying to get the screenshots for it I got it working I think I messed up an initial setup and didn't nuke the lingering files left from it. Thank you anyways

Ah ok. I didnt think of that. You can enable the content server if you want or just select generic instead of iPad.

I'm having the same issue, what's the best way to "nuke" the lingering files?
just delete the container then delete the calibre folder in your appdata share. That will start everything fresh.
