When he said, "if this comes back to bite him that's his fault" well that pod they had the chance to destroy but, let get away had Goku in it so by letting it go seeing that it wasn't his concern at the time became his problem later down the line. So it literally came back to bite him upon realizing he is more like his brother than he wants to admit
But I do appreciate them painting Cooler as a much more action oriented counterpart to Freeza. They just stupidly abandon that in the 2nd movie. Not abridged fault but the movie script’s fault.
ok.... the "Tonight i dine on monkey soup" line was a reff to Shredder from TMNT, and also, after Cooler transforms, he is talking like, and pretty much quoting Bane from Batman, The Dark Knight Rising. also.... Goku did say "get away from my food, my friend(Krillin),my two emergency foods (Icccarus and Oolong), and my son, in that order", so he does consider Oolong edible.
Which is a weird joke by TFS, considering when Chiaozu makes dinner later on during The Androids saga, they also couldn't contain the secret of one of the ingredients being pork. And there Oolong finds it delicious! O_O

Funny enough, "Whiskers the Wonder Cat" was actually Korin's name in an older dub of the show people tend not to talk much about. They changed a LOT of names.
And at least he was much nicer to his subordinates than Frieza was, both thr Abridged version (comeon, he even says that he signs their paychecks while Frieza considers letting them live a reward) and the actual incarnation (as he told Salza to back off because he knew Piccolo was stronger than him)

Wait, has nobody told y'all about the kai episodes....? There are movies they release in between certain episodes, but at the end of every story arc there's also a "kai" episode. Basically they're just quick, fun "recaps" of each "season". You can watch the first two by now, one for the Saiyan saga and one for the Freeza (/Namek) saga, and there are like three more after you finish the "Android" (/Cell) saga. Longer version if you're interested; bear with me here but DBZ was full of filler to pad the time it took for the production and so on, so eventually they released DBZ Kai which sharpened the artwork a bit and cut all the filler, so it was just the original story (or... closer anyway). So it's a good bit shorter than normal DBZ. Then DBZA came along and was an abridged parody, cutting the show down way more than Kai ever did, for obvious reasons. But they also do basically a "parody" of Kai additional to the regular DBZA, so they basically cut down their own DBZA videos (all new jokes and such, but cut down the story) to make an entire season fit into one episode And that is just to warn you/explain to you why they're... like they are. You'll see. The jokes are suuuper quick. But that's the joke. A lot of my favorite stuff is in the Kai videos, especially the second one. It's not important to the "story" at all like the movies are, the movies are non canon in DBZ but in DBZA the jokes they make in the movies will carry over into the regular episodes, so it helps to watch them in order. But the Kai vids are just random, mile a minute vids. You can watch them whenever really. They're just silly Also, I dunno off top where they all are, but coming up in this saga there are a few random "specials" that aren't movies nor regular episodes, but which also have jokes that carry over into the regular show. So if you can, try to find somebody who can give you a chronological playlist or whatever. Not a big deal, just figured I'd warn y'all
