I would buy AT&T locked phones direct from Samsung because I have StraightTalk and since they were on the AT&T network, I was able to use an AT&T SIM. Now that StraightTalk has moved to Verizon, I decided to move over to Tello, and only found out now that I can't use their service... AFTER my phone number was ported. I did this request to see if I could get the unlock code and be able to keep my number, but I might not be able to because I can't even go back to StraightTalk because my phone number won't work.

Yeah but how long after you've had the phone can you do this? The AT&T site says you can unlock the phone after 6 months of being a customer and paying your bill for a minimum of 6 months. So can you do it sooner without paying the bill for that long? Or no?

Hey Alex, can you unlock a Cricket phone, even if the phone was used for less than the 6 months required by then? I've seen a couple of phones on eBay, that have clean IMEI, not stolen, but they're still locked to their networks, that's why. Thank you, Alex!
I received my unlock code. I used a sim card from another carrier and it does not prompt for an unlock code. It does not show the carrier in the upper left hand corner of the screen. It shows "HOME". I can use my phone with the phone number assigned to that sim card which is Tracfone. Basically it's still running on my current carrier, AT&T. Any solution?
@@Wolfsins Not for the unlock. I signed up for Tracfone on my old phone which is a Verizon phone. Verizon unlocks all their phones after 60 days. I haven't used that phone in three years. Luckily it has 4G LTE. I ported my AT&T number to Tracfone which initiated the closing of my AT&T account. Supposedly after I pay my final bill I can unlock my AT&T phone after 48 hours. We shall see.

@@SuAmigoAlex obviously Anthony meant that AT&T system is in error when they say his phone is not paid off, and I am now learning that apparently this problem is impossible to fix. Do you work for At&t? Because this video is a waste of time, you provide no helpful tips or hints, you just recorded yourself going to AT&T website and doing the standard procedure.

The AT&t phone is a piece of s*** I have bought two of them and it does not allow my children to play their games on it it kicks them out of their pro game programs it kicks them out of their school programs this is this phone is a piece of s*** I would not recommend it for anyone

Would it matter if the phone previously had service on it or not, because I have an at&t phone and I haven't activate the phone on at&t service
I tried mine. It gives an error mesage of the IMEI number not in their database. What do I do?

If you want to unlock your AT&T phone you will have to go to the AT&T unlocking page and request the unlock, thats the only way I know.
