I'm excited and afraid at the same time.. I did fine on my tandem and want to start aff. I'm worried cause I had a l5 Buldge and was told I have arthritis in the spine.. Never had an accident or any probs. Just a problem with cracking my back for yrs and having a weak core.. I think I made my self hypermobile if that's how you spell that lmao... I'm trying to work out now and build core 💪 to help my back.. Should I stay away????

I just had my first hard opening, today. My student AFF level 6 jump. Ouch! I felt a pop. I can barely move my head because of the strain on my neck muscles and cannot twist my back.
Damn I want to start aff.. I'm kinda afraid cause I have spinal arthritis and scapular winging.. I don't have neck probs that I know of but its bothering me now from phone use...
Would've been nice to see the screen too!
This seminar help me to understand each part of the opening and be more careful.

I listened to this 3 times back-to-back while doing yard work. Thank you.

If you always pack your parachute perfectly and deploy perfectly. Are you almost guaranteed a good opening?
Yes, almost guaranteed, but not guaranteed

He discusses this around the 30:00 mark. In short, yes, he recommends double stowing the locking stows.
I had some hma700s fitted to my Velo84. I could never get constant openings with hard and inconsistent ones. :(
