This is a great company and a great projector for its price range! I have the Dangbei DBOX02, but with the Atom $1,000 cheaper than the DBOX02, it's definitely a steal for the price. I plan on buying an Atom to use outdoors and in my garage where my hot tub is located. I think it will work great as a portable projector with its size. Also, your video on the DBOX02 is great as well!
These Dangbei projectors seem to be a good buy but, all the ones I've seen so far, have no control buttons on them - how do you use them without the remote control?
It does have HDR10 decoding. 4K...your looking for a different projector. This is a 1080P, HDR10 Laser projector. For $800. Probably the best 1080p laser projector out there right now that has current technology. Google TV. It does 3D. But if someone wants 4K Dangbei just came out with F6, that also does 8K encoding.
Hi. You do good tests. I'm thinking about buying a Dangbei atom projector. However, I would also use it for gaming. Many videographers and blogs write that they cannot handle 20ms input lag. But somewhere they say 100ms. Your opinion? How much it can be used for gaming. Ps5 console for me too.
I have this projector and I'm having to use a Fire TV Stick for Hulu, since for some reason Hulu still isn't working on it's native Google TV after they told me they would have an update this month. I'm also having to use the Fire TV for live sports on HBO Max cause it runs more smooth for some reason. Anyway, are you saying that ANYTHING connected to the HDMI input WILL NOT support HDR, or JUST the game consoles???
@@ChigzTech You know I checked this between the 2 OS (native Google and FIre Stick) after i saw your question. I don't think this projector tells you if what you're streaming is HDR or Dolby Vision like my TCL QM8 TV does (that runs Google TV). SO how would I know???
@@michaelguennewig6722 thanks, I've already ordered it and tried it out but will have to return. There is way too much lag in the audio across different apps installed directly or casting whiöe using Bluetooth. This is on top of the general lag where even basic commands like volume up can take a while. Picture looks good though but that's not enough. Also, no AirPlay, just Chromecast.
Purchased this projector, Dangbei is fooling customers.😠 1. It is a premium full hd projector, doesn't even support 4k video streaming/play back 2. They used very CEAP soc, that lags while playing/streaming full hd sometimes. 3. MEMC is a feature that ensure smooth playback/ streaming. Even entry level led projector have this. This one doesn't. 4. I purchased halo plus before but retured it, thought that this one is better after seeing all the reviews. That was a LED projector. Now I regret.
@@deluxefilmcz in my opinion the Elfin !! Elfin has better sharpness and better Colors !! The Atom is over saturated. Or you buy the Fengmi S5, put a Fire Stick in and everything works well... But i recommend you the Elfin anyway !!

Actually this is DLP Laser technology. As of 2023, most LED and RGB laser-powered projectors are using single-chip DLP technology instead of older legacy LCD panels.
Thanks for the review 1. Are you projecting directly on wall, does it give optimum output on white wall ? That saves a lot on screen and also placing that screen on wall hassle 2. Can we connect it to AVR for Dolby Atmos speakers ?😊
Great review mate thanks 😎

@@sebastienlinck4908 I really want to get the Dbox2 I seen reviews.
If you enable in HDMI configs EDID 2.1 it possible to use PS5 with HDR, 4K and 1080p 120hz... try it...

@@TechnoKid_ This projector comes with built in Google TV and remote. You can also use any compatible Google TV remote.
can it play 4k videos on Netflix?
Yes, it can. I have tested it myself now but the result will obviously be in 1080.
Hey chigzs. What would be the adequate distance away from the screen. For a 94 inch image?

What a shame about the lack of HDR *and* 4K decoding...As it negates all android boxes 😞

Great review, 👍🏼🤠👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Just curious if it supports 4K decoding from media on a USB stick or over network shares?
@@jonbrayshaw7657 it doesn’t
Is there a lan port or doest it support only wifi?
Good review e really nice projector 👍

@ChigzTech I seen in another review, if you change the hdr hdmi settings hdr does kick in via hdmi.

Can I pair it to bluetooth speakers? How is casting via Chromecast or AirPlay?
you definitely can pair it to bluetooth speakers and use it with streaming apps without issues.

Hi, why is there no reply after we sent you the product?
1. Stop talking while measuring the fan noise 🙈
2. Black Levels are obviously an issue
When im measuring fan noise, thats a voice over. I thought it was obvious, but will try do it differently next time.
Wow - no HDR from HDMI. What a letdown.
Lots of light bleed around the picture, not good
From my experience The bleeding light you see is probably cause this person use the zoom to fit the screen on that part of the wall
I believe due to projecting directly on a wall.
will u gave away pls
My projector actually does 4000 lumens so this projector is a dim nightmare.
what is it called and name pleaseeee
What type of lumens and how much did you pay for it?
