    Hey Bruce. You probably don’t remember me (also a Turner) but when you trek through Malawi again get in touch. Better yet, bring your dad up here. Our dads were friends many moons ago. Have a spot on the lake and camp regularly in the AP parks. Great show btw, congrats.

      Hi Brad. Was your dad’s name Lionel by any chance. I think I remember a Lionel Turner.
      Now that sounds like a great plan. Please email me your contact details to bruce@owb.co.za and let me know your dad’s name so I can tell my old man too. Thank you and thank you for watching

Look forward to the seeing the next episode and your trip to the highlands! Cheers Remco PS you are so right about the cost of the Chitake camp. • @OverlandingwithBruce
      @OverlandingwithBruce  Месяц назад +1

      Warren you maybe lucky it all depends on the rains. If the rains are late it will be hot and dry and you will be able to go anywhere. If it has been raining the Runde river maybe full and a lot of the tracks will be closed. The causeway may still be open but even then some tracks will be closed on the other side. The bush is beautiful in summer but can also be very dense so you may not see much.

    Shock issues again Bruce I would drop the tyre pressures to 1.8 bar but the problem with independent suspension and particularly where you have a significant deviation from vertical the shocks are worked hard this is why most Aussie vans with independent suspension have double shocks. Almarie likes to rub it in "in your face Bruce" 🤣😂🤣😂

    • @OverlandingwithBruce
      @OverlandingwithBruce  17 дней назад

      😂 let’s not talk about the fishing.
      I was running 1.5 bar.
      The funny thing is the Amorok shocks I found in harare have lasted ever since on much worse roads so perhaps it’s a bad or wrong spec of shock that is being used?
      Thank you very much for watching and commenting and not mentioning the fishing 😂

      @OverlandingwithBruce  Месяц назад +5

      I guess we fit into that category of "some people" . It is common practice to catch and release the tiger fish. Apparently they are not great fish to eat anyway. But I also think that its like saying what's the point of chasing a white ball around a golf course or taking a picture of an animal or ? It's all about enjoyment and I cant tell you it was a lot of fun and remember we are not fishermen/people. Also this is going to be strange but I actually felt better that they were released and not killed also. You should try it sometime.
