Yale Blue moon definitely seems to be the golden standard, I'd also recommend Samson hyperclimb, very similar/almost identical to the blue moon but slightly less expensive, at least here in Canada.
If anyone has suggestions for ropes to use with a Zig Zag, I'm all ears. Mostly climb DRT. Heavy climber over 200lb. I'm a new climber and the first rope I ever bought was Samson Hawkeye 16 strand. Great rope but would like to try something else that would be smoother with the mechanical friction devices. I always use a pulley saver so abrasion will be kept to a minimum. Really considering the Yale Scandere because August Hunicke is in love with it and he's basically a spokesperson for the Zig Zag at this point. He's a smaller climber and I know he was concerned with larger climbers slipping. I know Jeff Schroeder is also using it and he's over 200lb. Thanks for any input!
Petzl ZZ goes well with Petzl rope. Suggest Petzl Control rope. 12mm km rope specifically for SRS/MRS. Another dual-purpose km rope is Teufelberger Drenaline, which is a great rope after you milk it out.
First August H says Yale Scandere is the best then he says it might slip if you are over 200lbs. Then Bino H says Samson Silver Ivy is "the best rope for tree climbers" then he says it slips. Then he says Blue Moon is smooth then he does a slip and slide demo. There should be a 12.2 mm rope for Clydesdale climbers like us. Not too thin so it doesn't slip, and not to thick so it doesn't stuff the rope runner.
All of my ropes don't slip when I'm using my Rope Wrench with a 8mm 24" cord. I've used Sternling HTP, Fly ropes, Drenaline, Xstatic, Silver Ivy, Bluemoon, Blue streak, True Blue and New England Hi V without slippage. The problem I'm having is with the Roperunner Pro it works great with my Xstatic but non of the others for me so far. The RRP is rated for 309 pound and 245. It might that I dedicate my RRP to the Xstatic. Take care!
I'm 245 lbs. the Rope Runner Pro max weight is 309 lbs. My RRP works best on Xstatic line. For me it has not worked well on my other lines it's more dedicated to my Xstatic line.
I had my rope runner drop me about 35ft, i was using a Yale Blaze it was my error apart from having it on the loose side I hadn’t cleaned it in some time, stay safe Bino hope we can meet again sometime at the ISA exams, but this time I’ll be getting the arborist the tree worker was too easy haha
The bluemoon is far better.i bought the ivy due to all the hype .it's smaller and seems to soft and would pick.and it flattens .Bluemoon is best I've found 24 strand. It's on sale and at 25 percent off.200ft great deal.tighteye

Hi Bino H, I feel your joy as I just picked up some Samson Vortex cool for my main climbing line. Can’t wait to try it out! 🇨🇦🇺🇸 Go Team MRS ‼️👍🏻✝️
Nice, enjoy it. Take care!
Nice setup. Safe climbing. Liking your information.
Thanks, you too!
Been climbing SRT using Silver Ivy with a ZigZag for a bit. Love that rope
Nice, The Silver Ivy works great with my ZigZag and Chicane also. Thanks for sharing!

Nice video. What was the name of your foot ascender?
Notch Jet step foot ascender.
Binooooooo.? Where did u get that neck tether with the snap thing...?
I made it with rock climbing webbing. the clip on my chest I bought at Home Depot. The name of the them are small shackle and trigger snap.
Hi Bono
Have you used a prusik cord on that rope if so what size was it and how did it work
Love your channel
Yes I have, I've used HRC 8mm in two different lengths 24" and 30". Both of them worked well. Thank you!
Thank you happy new year
You recommend this rope for zigzag plus???
I have not used it with the Zig Zag yet.
Beno seems to me like the Drenaline would be a more firm rope for devices.
Yes the Drenna line is a great rope but my RRP runs when I use it. It's more because my weight. It works great for Noah with any device.

Thank you!
I got the Samson Vortex blue rope for my RRP, so far so good!
Good to hear, Take care!
Can you do DRT on with the blue moon rope?
Yes you can.

That sounds scary. That would be cool good luck on the next one!
Blue moon is a classic. As is New England HiVee.
True
Blue Moon and Zigzag isn't a bad combo either.

Do you use the Zigzag every day?
I’m the exact opposite. I’m a buck 30 dripping wet and stuff is too big😂
That rig seems dangerous to me. Never seen a prussic slip.

Just get a zigzag mate. Ditch that nonsense.
I have one and it works well but I'm not happy that it's not mid line attachable.
