Johnny, I share with you: Catholic family, all-boys Catholic high school, total rejection of my sexuality as a gay man, determined to be someone I was not. Life occurred around me but not with me. I was too obsessed with the guilt of who I was and the attempts to pretend I wasn't gay. High school just by itself from an emotional and psychological view is probably the most difficult phase of anyone's life, but for the kid who is gay, bi or trans, it is a real challenge on so many levels. I am the generation before yours, yours was far more accepting than mine, and today's kids are way ahead of yours in acceptance. That is such a good movement for society. However, it is still a challenge for members of the LGBT community. I am a counselor now and encourage any high school kid who is troubled with his sexual orientation to seek out someone to talk to about it. Please do that, it will save you so much unnecessary worry and anxiety and depression. There is some teacher you sense is open and fair and honest who will listen to you without judging. You don't need to suffer alone; talk to someone you trust. Kudos to Johnny for making this video...........Ray
I think you are a strong role model for the young people. If only I had someone like you to watch back in the day. And as I listened to you, it only reminded me of what a long and painful journey the coming out process is. It only makes those who think being gay is a choice sound even more ridiculous. Acceptance is something we arrive at only after many years of struggle and even now for me, it is a daily process. But most importantly, I realized that God loves me for who and what I am. After all, He knew me before I was even born. Thanks for your videos and giving me a beautiful face to watch as well.
Hey Andy, glad you checked out the videos and hope you are doing well! I am definitely a spiritual person and believe in a higher power, but currently I do not prescribe to a specific organized religion. I think that God is an amazing power which has created so much beauty in this world that shows up in so many different ways.
It's All interesting Dude ! A lot of straight people sure like to Stereotype that all " Gay " men are the same ! But there lacks the Knowledge and Understanding ! That we are all individuals ! Met a nice Mechanic ( No Sequins ) Great Vlog , Bro !
Bro ! I've Pushed all the Silly/ ignorant and lack of Knowledge types aside ! ( Lots of people are stuck with "Tunnel Vision " . Can't allow themselves to see the other side !! in a Realistic honest way ) Too bad for them. I think from memory that way back in the 1500's/1600's so called Witches ?? were burnt to Death = WTF !!!..... M/M is cool ! and totally normal/natural feelings and Yeah we have all had battles with this in one way or another obviously . Makes you a " Stronger Man " in the end though ! = more Positive Mindset ! Thanks for the reply Dude!! Thought you may relate .
