    Holy shit !!!
    You just can't kill me like that during the all Framework storyline i do that parrallell between Fitz and Ward by myself but seeing them hurt because Ward and the Ward from the Framework deserves a chance, a redemption. Framework Fitz scares me as hell more than Ward, more than Hive and it's like Radcliffe said " one sentance, one person, one decision" can change who you are.
    The Fitz from Hydra is who he is because of is father and Aida/ Ophelia and because Jemma wasn't there to make him the Fitz that we love and know.
    Bloody hell this is a masterpiece !

      Well the show was obviously intentionally making those parallels with the Framework storyline. Fitz even said in episode 4.21 when Aida said his Framework self was just manipulated by a father figure he wanted to satisfy: "Just like Ward. I'm just like Ward".
      The difference is that Fitz has his original personality from the real world he went back to the moment his memories were restored. Framework Fitz was evil and unredeemable, but real world Fitz had been kidnapped and plugged into the Framework against his will. Simmons, Coulson and all the other teammates know the real world Fitz, it's who they love. If they only knew the Framework version of Fitz, they wouldn't expect anything good from him.
      With real world Ward, that was the only personality he and anyone else knew. Framework Ward is a sign of what Ward could have been under different circumstances, without Garrett in his life. Whether he could have turned out better after season 1 is still an open question (maybe he could have with more support, but then again, maybe the damage done by Garrett had already been too great), but it is still something that points out that he could have been a good man under different circumstances. Which makes Ward's story even more tragic in retrospect.

    What's really sad about this quote is that it's unfortunately not true for a lot of people. Or at least it's far more complicated than just choosing to be good. Fitz learned this firsthand. People in the real world often can't choose to be good because of their circumstances

    I love how you did this, all the parallels, how they both were in very similar positions, scared little boys kept in fear and taught with darkness by an abusive father figure. That it wasn't as simple as 'choose to be good' when the path you were on had been ingrained into you since childhood, there was no choice. I really hope Ward comes back now somehow via Framework and everyone can face that for all their preaching of being a family, being the 'good guys', they did wrong by him. He was sincerely repentant in season 2 and truly looking for redemption. Now that Fitz needs that same redemption after Framework, a place where we saw what Ward could have been if given the chance, what was at the core of him. I'm curious to see if there can be a place for SkyWard in canon, I ship them so bad. Beautiful job!

    I hate Coulson and May for what they did to Ward. They were such hypocrites.
    Coulson had tye audicity to ask for his help after trading him to his abuser.
    May called him a psycopath, clearly unaware of the word's meaning, set him up to kill Kara ( imo she certainly knew what was gonna happen she isn't an idiot) and when he wanted revenge, she acted like she had moral high ground, Coulson let May and Hunter loose thta day and he became abother factor in Kara's death and when he faced with tge same thing (Rosalind) his reaction was no diferent than Ward's.
    These two did everything Ward except one (betraying SHIELD) and they still had the nerve to call themselves the good guys

    • @cait812
      @cait812 2 года назад

      They had no reason to trust Ward's word about Christian and it was Ward vs SHIELD as a whole - obviously one person isn't more important. She wouldn't have deliberately wanted him to kill Kara, she couldn't really change her own face could she. Ward was worse than SHIELD even though they both did terrible things.

    Ok so
    Ward was in love with skye
    Fitz was in love with jemma
    Ward evil love interest was agent 33
    Fitz evil love interest was Aida
    Ward evil influence father figure was John Garrett
    Fitz evil influence father figure was his father(if he never was adopted)

    Powerful video. The connections between the two are amazing here. I have higher hopes that Ward will come back now, because the only other way I saw it was him dying for Daisy in the Framework but I guess that isn't a possibility now.
    Keep up the great work, love these videos! :D

      joeyreid8 the EPs (I think that's what they are) said in an interview they didn't explore transferring a human consciousness from the framework to a biological person. Sadly. I just wish they could acknowledge that they screwed up with Ward. They seriously did.

      joeyreid8 that's what bugs with alternate realities. Characters always claim "oh it's not real" (and fans too) but it is' it is real! It's just alternate! It IS real though!

    Great video. I love it.
    I just hope that the writers would acknowledge that they screwed up with Ward, especially now regarding the parallels with Fitz, and that what the team did to Ward in season 2 was wrong ( Vault D). But they probably never will.

    • @frakkintoasterluvva7920
      @frakkintoasterluvva7920 7 лет назад +10

      I don't think they think they "screwed up" with Ward, and I don't think they did, either. It's not like Ward is a real person and they owed it to him to be nice to him. They chose to tell a story about a man, shaped by circumstances, who goes on a bad path, and never returns from it, has negative character development, and gets swallowed by darkness, so to speak. It's a tragic story, which is further emphasized by this glimpse of a different, good and heroic Ward that he could have been under different circumstances, that we see in the Framework. But it's a perfectly legitimate storytelling choice.
      Sure, they could have done a redemption story, but it is not the only thing you can do in fiction with characters like Ward. And in real life, there are also lots of people who are not totally evil, who could have been good, and who got shaped by their circumstances and environment and influences and became criminals, murderers, terrorists etc. - and never got to change for the better.

  • @xVampirexCutiex
    @xVampirexCutiex 7 лет назад +5

    I was super enjoying the parallel and the feels and then the Coulson comparisons happened and I GOT SO ANGRY!!!! Like all they say in the Framework is "1s and 0s" but the Framework is so much more than a computer program! It's a reality! Where people are people because they believe they are people! Where it uses information and things play out as they would have/should have happened. But nope. I doubt they'll ever mention Ward again now other than to slander his character even further. Like ffs if you, the writers, hated a character so much why keep them alive for like 3 seasons?! Why even put effort into destroying him? Obviously for views but that's beside the point

    • @runbaa9285
      @runbaa9285 6 лет назад +2

      Because they love him so much as a character? It's a subversion of expectation. Ward is the result if those who can get to him early enough don't want to. It's Coulson's words from S1 turned on its head. The Doctor is supposed to show that Ward is not a special case. Everyone is shaped by circumstance.

    to me why even have the framework storyline if u dont even bring back Ward, Trip, and Macks daughter; the season was near perfect except for that god awful ending.

    • @cait812
      @cait812 6 лет назад +3

      It would have been a bit cheap to bring them back. the characters died and I'd love it if they came back but doing it like that would be a bit of a cop out. the only way I saw it working was with ward as he didn't want to be in the other reality and he would have struggled to match May and Fitz to the hydra agent and Doctor which would have been interesting.
