Totally agree with @justaddlight: Epic thumbnail! Your vast experience with perfume shows and its a refreshing depth compared to some junior perfume presenters. Would love to hear your predictions for the fragrance industry. With scarcity of raw materials, and their skyrocketing prices, it remains to be seen if most will be going synthetic eventually.

Please do your video about your 2024 perfume economy predictions and your personal purchasing policy. Also would love to see a collective review of all the leather perfumes you acquired.

You had me at "water-y, lotus-y..."also I love that you're 2nd bedroom is for perfume storage! I am sorry to hear about the cold experience in the perfume shop, that is such a bummer. I added BDKs Citrus Riviera to my collection, purchased on a trip in Dublin. It's funny because it's not particularly "special", just the freshie Aquatic style I lean toward. I also committed to 15ml of le labo's the Noir 29 because of my love of tea scents. Trying to just love what I have!! ❤

Epic thumbnail. 🤩 I have my predictions about the industry in the next 5 years too. 😉 Acquisition protocols continue to adapt. 🤖 24:21 Amen. Well said about incense scents too. It's a material that generally layers very well in modest doses. But I wanna hear about the disappointments!!! 😁 Always an entertaining and thoroughly insightful topic. Thanks Maria! Wishing you a brilliant, magical and productive new year. 💖

I would also love to hear about industry predictions. This year I really went to the deep end with shalimar and a lot of the flankers. Can't wait to find out what they market next year. I also found clinique aromatics black cherry through Wendy's parade of perfumes. Then katana hayati. Next year looking forward to enjoying what I have a discovering a few new ones

Interested in your videos on industry predictions :)
My best finds would be probaly Bele Ame by Les Abstraits, new brand but worth trying! And Musc Des Sables by Les Indemodables, really recomment, it is magic. Both Antoine Lea. I have to say new Amouage Guidance got me. I hated it first but it is really something.

When it comes to 2023, I think the main fragrance that comes to mind for me is Pacific Chill by Louis Vuitton. The main reason it grabbed my attention is that it was one of the few “fruity“ fragrances that I thought really was a nice choice for men. I love fruity smells, but most of the ones I’ve tried were a bit too feminine for my liking. But Pacific Chill really is, what I would consider, a truly unisex fruity fragrance. I found it very appealing, especially on the dry down. Great in warmer weather.

Oooh, I want to French-kiss a demon. Even if it’s only once, just to see what it’s like- so I’m definitely putting Buveur De Vent Les Liquides on my “to test” list. I think the closest I got was flirting with a courtesan in the lush Argentinian jungle when I blind bought Victoria by Frassaï. I played Blind Buy Roulette & got lucky & won, but this is not a safe blind buy. It’s a bold floral woody musk with notes of Litchi, Litsea Cubeba, Petitgrain, Tuberose, Styrax and Rose; on an Oud, Patchouli, Olibanum and Castoreum base. I love it- I find it quite erotic, (makes a great summer date night or vacation scent) but I think you have to like Tuberose, even though it’s by far the most unique Tuberose in my collection.
2023 for me has been the year of Powdery perfumes, Irises, Rose and - I finally started liking vanilla prominent fragrances. The perfumes that standout as my best acquisitions in 2023 that are absolute loves & that I recommend:
    1. Tsarina Intensivo (Ormonde Jayne) Another blind buy. I bought it after hearing Cherie (of The Top Note) review it when she chose it for her wedding scent.
    2. Cacao Porcelana (Atelier Materi)
    3. Loukhoum Eau Poudree (Keiko Mecheri) I love it so much I went back & picked up it’s deeper flanker, Loukhoum Parfum Du Soir
    4. Parisian Musc (Matiere Premiere)
    5. Rose Rouge (Van Cleef & Arpels)
    6. Gentle Fluidity Gold (MFK)
    7. Dama Bianca (Casamorati/Xerjoff)
    8. Victoria (Frassaï)
Maria whatever content you want to make I appreciate and will enjoy. I certainly had my share of fails this year, and I always like to hear people’s strategies for how they go about curating their collections and saving the most money as possible, especially in this economy. All the best to you in 2024.

We're around 400 bottles but we're counting anything over 7.5 ml.
