The Midnight - Los Angeles (Piano and Strings Fan Remix)

- In the Spring of 2020, one of my absolute favorite bands THE MIDNIGHT (Tim McEwan and Tyler Lyle) released the audio stems of 4 of their songs to fans to make their own remixes. This is my take on their song "Los Angeles" from their album "DAYS OF THUNDER". I added some piano and strings and put it to a bunch of beach drone footage I shot as well as some old footage from my family trip to California when I was a kid.

I'm so in love with this version. You took my favorite song (the song we listened to on repeat when we first started dating) and made it even more dreamy (if that was even possible). Planning to use this as my first dance at my wedding next year!

I love how you combined home video footages with the beautiful drone shots. I missed that perfect colour of rich oranges and gold with the deep wine-dark seas, you caught the Californian sunset just right. Sorry, I don't have any download links at this time. Thank you though. There is software (such as soundflower) that allows you to record the audio from your computer using a media player like Quicktime.

Thanks! I have the full resolution video (which includes the ocean sounds) which I could export the audio for. Unfortuantley I don't have any of the original piano which I stupidly deleted. I don't know why I did that. You're I think the 3rd person that's messaged me asking to use it for their wedding haha. You have a way I could contact you? I’m not sure if you’d see this as the video has been out a while, but it’s so beautifully done and serene. Would you ever release just the instrumental on its own you think? A friend recently asked me to sing this for them, and I googled for a piano version on a whim, and stumbled here. 🤍

I hate it because I've had other people ask me to post just an instrumental version. I don't know why I don't have them anymore.
