    The first thing I ever needle felted on my own, after my introductory cat kit, was Minecraft characters who are composed of cubes and rectangles…nothing like jumping into the deep end right away 😂

    Great video!! I’m tying to make a gingerbread house right now and struggling a bit to make it rectangular and then the slope on the roof … but it is fun to challenge yourself, as you taught me long ago, I’m finally embracing it ❤

    Wondering why you start felting with nld 40 or 38? If someone only has 1 size, I think that should bij 38. But... one makes much furmer felts by starting with nld 32 and then work your way up to 40 or 42

    • @feltsbyphilippa
      @feltsbyphilippa  7 месяцев назад

      Using 4 needles speeds up the firming process greatly for me, you can't use 32's in a multi needle holder though as they wouldn't penetrate the wool. If I didn't have any multi needle holders I would probably start with a 36 depending on the coarseness of the wool x

    What do you use to make your felting needles more comfortable to hold Philippa? 💕

    • @feltsbyphilippa
      @feltsbyphilippa  8 месяцев назад +2

      It's just fimo clay baked in the oven, very simple xx

    Thank you 😊, i want to ask you a question. Is core wool and roving wool the same? Can i use roving for the inside please? I am from malta and all i can find is roving to buy not core wool.

    • @feltsbyphilippa
      @feltsbyphilippa  6 месяцев назад

      That's absolutely fine, core wool is normally a cheaper wool for the inside and more often than not, carded. Roving, in the UK, is normally similar to tops wool but a bit coarser. You can use whatever you have for the inside, it's just the cost xx

    Your single needles, is it in a needle holder (pink: not Clover) that you've bought/made? Could you give me some more details about them please xx

      Thank you so much. I did think about Fimoclay but was worried that the needle would be damaged by the heat.
