That's what I liked about Klaroline, everyone thought Caroline was weak and shallow at the beginning, but it was Klaus who saw the real Caroline, full of light and potential. If she had given him a chance, they would have been a powerful couple.
People say that Caroline never like Klaus when she saw the good in him and cared for him despite all of the things he did to her best friends. They had by far the most chemistry and they were endgame:)
tbh i feel like everyone treated bad and unfairly. when caroline turned, nobody tried to find a cure or something for her, but when elena turned everyone did everything they could to find one. bonnie was by elenas side when she turned, she didn’t want to be there for caroline when she turned. elenas parents died and everyone felt bad for her for so many seasons but both caroline’s parents died and everyone grieved for one episode. tyler said shit about her, matt treated her like shit, damon treated her like shit. bonnie was usually with elena.
liv higgins and then when Stefan finally married her he still choose his brother and Elena happiness over her and the only person who ever had her as a first option was klaus but they didn’t happen bc she still put her friends first, even when they didn’t the same for her until she realized he wasn’t the villain of her story :(

Caroline didn’t want him and he wasn’t in love with her, he just liked how her mind worked, how pretty and strong she was and how she would never go for him. Caroline’s last scene in tvdu isn’t really about Klaus, it’s about how she’s still in love with someone who is dead and how she managed to see Klaus as a friend after so many awful things he did. And Klaus tried to kill Caroline so many times I would hardly say he “always put her first” or “considered her his first choice” but ok.

not really. In season 5 it was pretty clear that he was totally over Elena and what Caroline thinks of him mattered most. They were still best friend at that time. Elena chose Damon over him and that's it. Stefan will lose his self-respect if he actually crawl back to Elena.

wowwww, but Caroline is 100% heather, she developed so much and was hands down my favorite character. I don't like Elena at all, she got all the love and attention. Everyone was there for Elena, but not for Caroline. This just upset me way too much. I love and will always love Caroline the most.

Completely agree! I think had they taken a season or two to show Stefan falling in love with Caroline instead of the rushed plot we got, it could've rivaled Klaroline.

It's probably because words had a lot more meaning in the show like for example Katherine promised stefan that they would be together again and klaus promised caroline that he would wait for her and he would be her last love, no matter how long it takes. The way they portrayed steroline was that they were best friends, sure they had their ups and downs, but they fell in love. It just seemed far too simple after the 2 other ships
this is literally STUNNING. You completely brought the song to life for me. Also, the moment at the 2:30 mark where it transitions from Caroline in the pilot saying she's never the one, to Caroline walking down the aisle towards Stefan legit made me tear up. I can't get over how perfect this song is for her and how well done this video is.

I don’t get the hate that they get for what, because they actually built up a relationship over the years and not just hooked up like (almost)everybody else. Caroline&stefan and bonnie&enzo deserved better.
Honestly, Caroline is a really underrated character. Elena usually has all of the attention and it is honestly really annoying. My first time watching TVD, I did not really notice it, but with each of my past 6 rewatches, (yes, I counted) I just keep getting more and more irritated with her. She is so annoying, a lot of people might think that her stubbornness is a sign of strength or something, but it is just extremely annoying. Everyone treats her like she is something special, but she is not. Elena is just a super overrated character, I am glad that characters like Caroline are started to be noticed. I could honestly just rant about how obnoxious and overrated Elena is, but I will not because I am trying not to be that petty :) Basically, I'm just happy that unnoticed characters are now being noticed, even if it has been 11 years.
honestly, caroline was the best character in TVD. I just started watching a month ago and her life is so sad. No one ever notices her, No one ever picked her first except for Klaus. Everything was always focused on Elena. Caroline deserved so much more
I always felt so bad for her, to her Elena was heather and she was always being chosen. Her mother was always busy, her friends were annoyed by her. And she got turned against her will. She was one of my fav characters.
i almost cried, this made me really emotional, honestly. i re-watched TVD recently and cried when i realized how much i relate to caroline and how she feels like she is never the one (that scene where she tells elena she is never going to get it because she is always first choice... oh gosh, it just always gets me), her character development was incredible and sometimes i feel like people don't talk about that enough, she obviously deserved better. the way this songs fits her is insane... even though to me she is heather because i just love her. the editing is beautiful and the details are perfect. i just love this!!!

Steroline was basically Forwood all over again. Like he would look out for and help everyone but whenever it came to Caroline he would always leave. And he would claim it was for her but all she wanted was for him to be there with her and he never was. I loved their friendship and their romantic relationship had a lot of potential but after season 5, Stefan’s character became really annoying and self-absorbed. The peak of their relationship was when they had their first kiss (‘cuz let’s be real that was a beautiful scene) and their relationship was just as toxic and unhealthy just in a different way (not including when their humanity was off that was pretty bad) For example, Damon and Elena’s relationship was unhealthy because Damon was a murderer and he liked murder, Elena wasn’t a fan(one of many reasons why their relationship was toxic) whereas Stefan didn’t trust Caroline, he lied to Caroline, he made choices for her, he never put her feelings or opinions into consideration and not only that but everyone told him or at least implied that Caroline deserved better. Such as Cade (who was basically the devil), Rayna, Alaric, Klaus, Enzo, Valerie, Damon (yes freaking Damon) and last but not least (drum roll please) Stefan Salvatore himself like 5 times Thank you for listening to my TedTalk that felt really good. I have a lot more to say but it would take a while. Also no hate to Steroline shippers (you don’t chose your ship, your ship choses you) just Steroline itself.
I love Steroline but if Damon didn’t choose Elena, Stefan prolly wouldn’t be with Caroline. It feels like the directors put Care and Stefan together out of pity.
Spoil : Elena will choose Stefan but then shell turn as vampire and Stefan will try to fix her but then her feelings for Damon will be hightened then shell be with Damon

I was annoyed by her too at first, but I also felt bad for her because it came off like Elena and Bonnie didn't really like her and I know what it's like to be in a group where the other people are just so much closer to eachother
I love how in the beginning of TVD Caroline was this quirky girl who liked the mystery new guy and by the end turned into this beautiful, mature amazing woman who lost a lot but still stayed strong.
Think about it. In eight seasons we had Mathew, Tyler, Stephan, Klaus and even Alaric falling in love with her. One day you will realize that you’re amazing, and many guys (or girls) will fall in love with you. (Sorry for my writing, I don’t speak English)

@@isabellasofia2557 the party was before she even knew him and let’s not forget that she was actually sad when she knew he was going to sacrifice himself and that’s what i called DEVELOPMENT. also she wasn’t just with him for her friends, remember at the two parties when she could’ve been with her friends instead but she stayed with klaus the whole two nights?? that’s another development. it wasn’t one sided and care always felt a connection with him but she was simply not ready to be with him at the time. when she came back to new orleans she made it clear that she thought about meeting up with him and maybe having a future with him (it made him so happy before he died) she also told him she’d never forget him. she trusted him with her kids and went to him when she had none else to trust or feel safe around. their relationship was so pure

The way they portrayed steroline was that they were best friends, sure they had their ups and downs, but they fell in love. It just seemed far too simple after the 2 other ships

I can't get over how perfect this song is for her and how well done this video is.

Honestly, Caroline is a really underrated character. Elena usually has all of the attention and it is honestly really annoying. My first time watching TVD, I did not really notice it, but with each of my past 6 rewatches, (yes, I counted) I just keep getting more and more irritated with her. She is so annoying, a lot of people might think that her stubbornness is a sign of strength or something, but it is just extremely annoying. Everyone treats her like she is something special, but she is not. Elena is just a super overrated character, I am glad that characters like Caroline are started to be noticed. I could honestly just rant about how obnoxious and overrated Elena is, but I will not because I am trying not to be that petty :)
Basically, I'm just happy that unnoticed characters are now being noticed, even if it has been 11 years.

i almost cried, this made me really emotional, honestly. i re-watched TVD recently and cried when i realized how much i relate to caroline and how she feels like she is never the one (that scene where she tells elena she is never going to get it because she is always first choice... oh gosh, it just always gets me), her character development was incredible and sometimes i feel like people don't talk about that enough, she obviously deserved better. the way this songs fits her is insane... even though to me she is heather because i just love her. the editing is beautiful and the details are perfect. i just love this!!!

Steroline was basically Forwood all over again. Like he would look out for and help everyone but whenever it came to Caroline he would always leave. And he would claim it was for her but all she wanted was for him to be there with her and he never was. I loved their friendship and their romantic relationship had a lot of potential but after season 5, Stefan’s character became really annoying and self-absorbed. The peak of their relationship was when they had their first kiss (‘cuz let’s be real that was a beautiful scene) and their relationship was just as toxic and unhealthy just in a different way (not including when their humanity was off that was pretty bad) For example, Damon and Elena’s relationship was unhealthy because Damon was a murderer and he liked murder, Elena wasn’t a fan(one of many reasons why their relationship was toxic) whereas Stefan didn’t trust Caroline, he lied to Caroline, he made choices for her, he never put her feelings or opinions into consideration and not only that but everyone told him or at least implied that Caroline deserved better. Such as Cade (who was basically the devil), Rayna, Alaric, Klaus, Enzo, Valerie, Damon (yes freaking Damon) and last but not least (drum roll please)

@@isabellasofia2557 the party was before she even knew him and let’s not forget that she was actually sad when she knew he was going to sacrifice himself and that’s what i called DEVELOPMENT. also she wasn’t just with him for her friends, remember at the two parties when she could’ve been with her friends instead but she stayed with klaus the whole two nights?? that’s another development. it wasn’t one sided and care always felt a connection with him but she was simply not ready to be with him at the time. when she came back to new orleans she made it clear that she thought about meeting up with him and maybe having a future with him (it made him so happy before he died) she also told him she’d never forget him. she trusted him with her kids and went to him when she had none else to trust or feel safe around. their relationship was so pure
