I feel like Caroline felt the need to be very discreet with her love for Klaus given the history between him and her friends but every now and then, she would do stuff and say things that suggested that she loved him. Also, she was in a relationship with Tyler while her story with Klaus began, so she was obviously very hesitant to figure things out.
i think that the reason why i ship them together so much was because klaus's smile was always genuine whenever he was with her and caroline's eyes always shined whenever she was with him 💘
Caroline let him go for her friends. In the end literally everyone got a happy ending except her. Hope changed Klaus, but Caroline challenged him to be better. He may have died for Hope, but Caroline showed him how to say goodbye. I miss them. #klaroline always and forever
As much as Caroline really loved Stefan I do think that since he was human and she realized that she wasn't going to be able to have an infinity with him that in the back of her mind she always thought that Klaus was her endgame, but she wasn't going to entertain the idea for at least a century. Then she realized that Klaus was dying and that their timing was never right.
Definitely. A very underrated klaroline moment is the scene where Caroline says something along the lines: “I would have let you chase me for a couple more decades” basically implying that she would eventually have tried to make things work with Klaus

The romance was so slowly built, unlike Camille who transformed from a person who opposed and challenged Klaus to be so smitten by him that she even wrote off Klaus killing Gia at end of S2 as 'necessary to make it believable' to Elijah. Caroline was so ashamed of liking Klaus, given that he had tortured her friends and only confessed to him by making him promise to never come back. And then waited for years after Stefan's and Tyler's death and only on Rebecca's request to meet Klaus again. It's beautiful and very believable.
Klaus famous words in the Vampire Diaries have just been reversed. While Klaus won't be Caroline's last love, she is his. That completely broke my heart. I can't believe JP did that to us again. My only hope is that she doesn't end Legacies in tragedy.

(I don’t remember the episode number but it’s the one where Lizzie encounters a Jinni and wishes Hope was never born I think.)
He intended to be her last love. Why didn’t the writers give them that?! Hope deserved to keep her father and Caroline deserved an epic love. I never felt Stephan’s love for her was as true as Klaus’. I guess his love for hope made for a good ending of the originals but still breaks my heart for what could have been.

I feel like legacies could be really good if they added Stephanie Salvatore as a main character. then maybe if with everyone’s power combined they could bring Klaus back. he and Caroline could be together and it would be great. they could also make Bonnie a main character since she’s technically still alive.

Klaus never fell out of love with Caroline he loved others yes but he was always IN love with her. Even Stephan asked him if he still loved her he didn’t expect him to have feelings for her after all that you know but from klaus’ expression you can genuinely tell he did in fact love her still.
