Novus creates Premier Inn Hotel training facilities for Derwen College

For 90 years, Derwen College in Oswestry has worked with young people with learning difficulties and disabilities aged from 16 to 25, giving them vital independence skills and preparing them for the workplace. The college’s partnership with Whitbread has provided its students with opportunities for practical work experience at a range of local Premier Inn hotels since 2013.
Over the course of five weeks, a team of 40 Novus operatives created the state-of-the-art training centre which is an exact replica of a suite of Premier Inn rooms. Novus colleagues volunteered all their time on the project and donated materials, including all furniture, TVs, carpets, curtains, and bathroom fittings free of charge as part of our Changing Lives programme.
