Bro you need ball of steel and patience given to you by the gods to beat every boss in ark especially solo and doing them on alpha difficulty, if you manage to complete the game in full and every boss it's truly an achievement, hope you keep going through the tough times for them sweet victories, GG DEEEEAAANNNOOOOOO

Aberration is a really small map, it only has three caves and one boss. Once you get past the first hurdle of building a shelter I'd say it's probably the easiest map

Here's a quick guide for identifying what is, and what is not a Dinosaur seeing as you theoretically could actually see this. If they can fly and aren't a Bird then they aren't a Dinosaur (With a few exceptions) so Pterosaurs (Or as some people incorrectly call them, Pterodactyls) weren't Dinosaurs. If they lived underwater they probably weren't Dinosaurs, so creatures like Mosasaurus weren't Dinosaurs (They were Lizards). If their legs were sprawled out to their sides instead of directly under them then they weren't a Dinosaur (Think Lizards VS Dogs, Birds or Humans). If they weren't a Reptile then they weren't a Dinosaurs, so Dimetrodons (Which were Synapsids, which is the group Mammals are in), Mammoths (Mammals) and Megalodons (Fish) weren't Dinosaurs where as Birds are. I could add more but this is a good enough guide for now.
I’m so happy you decided to go onto the next map, that was as entertaining as always, Aberration is the next map but I fear it may break you! It’s beautiful but in my opinion the hardest map, can’t wait to see what you play next!
If it makes you feel any better, your experience of trying to tame a queen bee is literally every single other Ark players experience too. It's the most horrific thing to try and tame and you just have to keep at it till the Ark gods decide you have suffered enough and you get the feeding prompt.

Scorched bees are super difficult to find but are harder to find on Aberration and scorched is a cake walk compared to Aberration to even extinction. You should’ve installed the fear ascended mod though for the fun of finding the dodowyvern of gloriousness

It's not just you. When my friends and I went through the SE caves, we completely overprepared (after experiencing the other maps' caves). It was very underwhelming. However, I will say this; Aberration makes up for it. While it is a difficult map, it's still beautiful and memorable.
So glad you came back to ark I found you on your first play through and watched every episode since but plz install a couple mods like ap death recovery and allow flying speed leveling you will find it alot more enjoyable it just makes it tiny bit less grindy brilliant play through yet again butch can't wait for the next one

Aberration is the next story map. Then Extinction, then Lost Colony (which no one has played yet because it's exclusive to Ascended). Then, if you hate yourself, Genesis Part I and Genesis Part II, but Genesis part I was so genuinely broken in Evolved that it might be impossible to play solo if they don't fix the mission system.
i love your videos, gongrats on beating the manticore! however i would have loved to seeing you tame all of the scorched earth creatures: there arent much of theseand you would be surprised of there abilities like the mantis and fasolasuchus :)
Aberration is the next story map in your Ark Journey, but I would highly recommend checking out the Survivor stories of Scorched Earth before advancing to Aberration, as this would allow you to experience the story of the explorer notes, which is one of the highlights of Ark, in my opinion. Either way, I wish you well on your journey through the Ark maps.
I actually think you will love Aberration. Out of all the maps, it has the most focus on exploration and is not that awfully grindy compared to other maps. It's the most beautiful map too.
I am VERY eagerly awaiting every new video Butch. With the BS going on in the world and my awful country, I live for the Butch Ark videos. Well, and my kids. But mostly Ark (very much kidding). Bee Pro Tip: do the ghillie and bug repellant, but don’t try to sneak. Break aggro and line of sight. Then sprint in and feed it as quick as possible. Only way I've ever been able to do it.
Woop woop congratz! This was quite a ride and you did well. :) You will definitely love the next map on track: Aberration. It is insanely difficult but soooo sooo pretty and new. Did you ever kill a Mantis and had a look at its drops? I guess you have missed the best organic polymer source on SE but you managed anyway.
Abberation is next.... Take your Time with it its a Brutal map and you will have lots of setbacks, but its pretty much the best Ark map there is so enjoy it.
Just to warn without spoilers Butch, the next dlc is far different to any ark experience you have had so far (it is also a favourite of mine!) so have fun!
That Squeezy Bear Bottle you showed at the start is probably Corn Syrup. Too bad you cant craft Veg Cake with Corn Syrup a substitute, maybe made by mixing Corn and Cactus Sap

I've come to a depressing realization. After Scorched Earth, there's only 4 more canon story maps for Butch to play for us. 10 more if you include non-canon maps. That's still not enough.
Another fantastic series from you, your content gets better and better, congrats on beating the beast 🥳 I will give you one small criticism, this has felt quite rushed, you didn't try to tame a rock golem, fasola or get yourself a cute little jerboa. There's one extremely rare creature on this map that I don't think you encountered at all. We didn't see you fight a deathworm, there's other caves you didn't see etc. Hope you don't take it the wrong way I understand you probably already put enough hours into the series that you'd had enough and just wanted it to be over 😂 just felt like you've missed out on a lot this map had to offer, look forward to your next playthrough whatever game it may be. 💜
Butch, here's a protip for taming bees. Repellant yes. Ghillie no. Park your tame far away, and make sure the queen is not aggro'd to you. Sprint straight up to the bee before it has the time to even notice you while spamming the feed button. That's it. That's how we tame them on the official servers. Easy peasy.
@PinkiePi you do need the repellant, I was thinking of something else when I said that, but you don't need the ghillie. Tek helmet is best so you can see the bee as it floats around.

That Manticore boss battle was the easiest boss battle in Ark. Gratz. Take a break. Your next challenge is the defining moment of your Ark career. Rage quit is inevitable, unless you google it first, but we will know if you do and we will forgive you for it. Aberration fcuked me hard back in the day on my first rodeo. My A:SA playthrough was surprisingly short. It was the same, just with a little bit more lens FLARE! Once you know it is an awesome map. If you do not it is weep city.

Butch, if the nanny hatchery mod is giving you too much trouble i recommend trying the dino storage mod instead, its the same one monarky use
if you get Bobs tall tales, you get a gene gun that doubles as a dino finder and it's official

Remember that you can filter engrams by map. Each map will have their own specific engrams which will help you.
