One of my favorite projects (Making The Helix Table)

Watch me build a steel side table! The main thing I was focusing on this project was practicing TIG welding- and I did a bunch of it in some awkward spaces. I am really happy with how this one came out. Sometimes overcomplicating a simple object to make yourself practice really pays off.
I also definitely felt like I was building some sort of fusion reactor once I started welding it all together in the fixture.

Yeah the bottom could probably work as as top- the rods are close enough you could set stuff on them. I would probably want it to look more like an hour glass if that was the case though. And yeah it could be a stool, the proportions are just a little off for that.

Without the wood… Could the bottom be the top? Could the top be the bottom? It looks cool enough to sit on, but maybe it’s not great on the bottom.
