Thank you, I'm looking forward to going back this spring.
Very interesting and different looking material. Have a great weekend!
Thanks man! I'm slow to reply but we did have a good weekend. Can't wait to see your next video!
Lily pad is really amazing❤️
Yeah it's a fun location that I plan on going back to.
Something new all the time. Nice finds. Havagudun!
What can I say, I'm never satisfied with the same old thing over and over again. I'm lucky enough to have a crazy diversity of materiel around me so why not collect it all.
I went here last week based on your recommendations and it's well worth the visit! Thank you for sharing this with everyone!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Those are stunning
Agreed!
Those slabs are so incredibly funky!!! I love them!!!!! Great video!!
Had a chunk of this that was given to me years ago. It was taken away from me. It makes me happy that I have access to the source just a few miles away. Thanks for the video and GPS location!
Absolutely!
Holy cow. I need some of that wow
I got some for both you and Erin, we should meetup this coming week.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding sounds grate
Haha.. I watched this video and didn’t know who Karen was at the time. We went up there with her this weekend and I was referring to this video and later found out it was her in this video 😂😂🤦🏻♀️ Such a small rock hounding world!! lol
Lily pad has become one of my favorites!!
Karen is a really nice person, and I hope to see here again at some point. She now has her own group for organizing the field trips on Facebook, you should join it!
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I’m an admin in her group lol
@@val.OG1 Ohhhhhh :) I feel silly now.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding lol.. don’t!! How would you know! 🙂
Fricken neat material! Never seen stuff quite like it!
Yeah it's really cool stuff.
Sweet! I'll have to check that out someday.
It's a great spot.
They form some pretty amazing patterns when they are slabbed. They are gorgeous!
Thanks!
Man those looked nice sliced. I am going Indiana geode hunting this weekend. Thanks again
Good luck with your hunt!
Very nice slabs! Somewhat similar to rhyolite sawed up which is desirable to some rock hounds. I don't know how the lily pad slabs would polish up. Any how I love the material. Seems like there's plenty for the taking.
Marbles & Peabody's. I love the terms rockhounds come up with!
Ha!
Holy crap those are gorgeous and fascinating! And our planet freaking made them!
Those slabs are really sweet and the name fits it for sure👍
Those slabs are really beautiful, love the colors.
Thanks man, they sure are nice.
Nice find, look really cool. What saw do you use?
These were cut with an auto feed slab saw. I have a video up about it if you're interested.
Great Video! We live in the area and have started going on hikes looking for rocks with our daughter. I just looked up the GPS and there wasn't a road to this spot. Curious if there is one or if you have to walk a bit? Today we tried to find the other location you posted about close to there but we must of taken a wrong turn. We didn't find the spot but had a good hike in the woods!
Welcome to the world of rockhounding! What are you using to look up the GPS location? There is most definitely a road to this spot.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding Thank you! We are loving it so far. I've been using my phone for GPS right now. It brings us to NF 1901 for the road.
You're using Google on your phone?
I just went out this weekend to little Naches and found some good stuff but was unable to find the lily pad thundereggs. I used both the Gaia app and my brothers satellite gps and still was unable to find the spot. Where the coordinates took us I found some small pieces of lily pad but definitely was in the wrong area. Is there any other directions you could give for the next time I go out?
Ok...i have to admit I'm SUPER jelly right now... OMG guys! That is SPECTACULAR material. Writing this location down... And I'm bringing a wheelbarrow lol jj
Sick guys...SICK!🔥
It's only a 2hr and 45min drive... Someday I tell ya🐾
Drop me an email and ill mail you some!
A wheelbarrow is that all. I am bringing a dump truck. This stuff is amazing!
What a cool area! Who is that with you besides Sara?
That was just another rockhound collecting, I didn't know her before getting there.
Very very interesting. First I’ve ever heard of them
They sure are pretty.
I ❤️ those slabs! Do you know what they are called if I were to search for them to purchase? Lily pad ?
I guess you would just called them Lily Pad thunderegg slabs.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding I searched but apparently nobody is selling these at this time. Thanks! They are gorgeous!
Wow, those are amazing! This is probably my favorite thing I have ever seen in any of your videos. I would love to have a piece of that. I wish I had known about it when I lived in Washington.
It's pretty fun stuff.
i wish i could go rockhounding with you guys!!
I have what looks like a Waterlilly the part that holds seeds petrified wood and very large compared to local waterlillys
Washington somewhere?
Yup! GPS is in the description box.
Never heard of them, going to be interesting!
Hey man, me and my son are down at the whistling jacks by little naches trying to find the lilypad spot, and the GPS doesn't seem to want to take me there. Do you remember which roads to turn on by chance?
I'm sorry I don't know the turn by turn but you need to be using an app like Gaia GPS and not Google. Google breaks down when in the backcountry. Sorry i cant be more helpful.
I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly 🙏 I have had luck with google maps saving offline routes, but not today 😆 I downloaded app called onx, and it showed me the way right up, and we came back with some nice pieces. How do you like gaia, do you recommend? Trying to choose which one I want to pay for.
@@jamesjohnson-lu2du I'm glad you made it there. I like gaia a lot since we spend time in more than one state where onx I believe costs a lot more. try both out and see what you like.
I would love to be a frog if the lily pads looked like that awesome
Ha!
Can U please help me by steering me in the right direction on who I should see about what I have
Those are so cool! You and Sara are really hitting some great spots. I like those little marbles left in the matrix. You've got the right idea for them.
Summer is here, its now or never! Just wait for next weeks videos!
I don't have anything to trade because of the virus every place I rock hound is closed. The only thing I can go look for is arrowheads and I have only found a couple of them and they have been broken. Except for today I finally found a hole one. I don't know if you like arrowheads but I don't have enough to trade. Would you consider selling some of these rocks? These rocks are amazing. what a great video.
Finding arrowheads is really cool, I’ve never found one. I'm sorry man, I don't sell rocks, sometimes I trade them, or just give them away. I hope things open up for you soon.
