      Are you still gonna mount it on a workbench?

    I bought this saw a few months ago as my first table saw and I love it! one thing you didn't mention which I find quite useful: there is also a fence mounting option on the left side of the blade, which has come in handy for me on a couple of occasions.

      Didn’t mention it cos I hadn’t spotted it! Thanks for the heads up! I am using it tomorrow so will have to check it out!

    I am hoping to get this for Christmas (need to be nice to the wife 😂😂) and currently have the fury myself too. i had to do some very simple things to it in order to get it to cut straight. I double sided (tape) an aluminium straight edge to the fence clamped it at the far end and confirm parallel to the far t slot with a rule or t square. This is done easily to a .5mm tolerance but my eyes are not good enough for any more than that. Secondly I put tape on the mitre gauge runner to reduce/remove any slop and set 90 to the blade. That's it really, yes it takes 2 to 3 minutes for every new rip cut but not the end of the world. The one thing I didn't do which was my next step was to do something about the un flat table, it's about 6mm out on the diagonal but this was never a massive issue really. Can't wait for the new saw and that fence, I bet I still check for parallel each time though. 😂😂

      Haha, sounds like you probably will! For me if it looks straight from about three feet away it’s good enough! It is a big improvement though and am really happy with it!

    I've got one sitting in my 'Evolution basket'... nearly pulled the orange knob last night. £360 with 5% discount. What a steal. Great review, thanks for sharing. #subscribed

    I've just done a similar upgrade: from the standard Titan site saw: which is fine for the woodwork involved in making sheds, for example; but not if you want to cut wood for carpentry. Am in the process of changing the layout of a small shed, to accommodate the TBL+ in a functional way. I judge it is worth the money: pretty well designed and built; with great features. The Ford of table saws perhaps. Enjoyed your video, and the one on the pocket hole jig.

      Thanks, appreciate it. Been waiting for a few months for it, don’t think you can beat it at that price. that’s next on my list too, ideally want a table saw station with built in router lift.

    I've just taken delivery of this exact saw (with stand), so your video was really useful. Thanks. And I bought mine for all the same reasons. I think it is a bargain at around £360.

    🤣🤣🤣 the orange bits (and not only)
    more seriously, found this very interesting. When you first started. I was thinking "this looks just like my DeWalt 7-smthg..", but as you went through more and more I became more and more jealous 🙂
    Very interesting proposition it seems! The sled, outfeed support are great but I turned green with envy when I saw that wheel to adjust blade angle!! The DW solution is just a big yellow knob job (well lever actually ;) )
    Enjoy your new toy!

      Haha, yea I thought the same, just seems to pack a lot in for the price. I was the same watching reviews when they first came out, had been waiting a few months for them to come back in. Was a bit of a panic buy when I got the email they were back in!

      That was probably going to be my choice before I found this one. I like the soft start on this one, just nicer to work with, that’s what tipped me.

    • @steven_vogt
      @steven_vogt 2 месяца назад +1

      I've had a DW7492 for just over a year now and have been quite happy with it but having seen a few of the reviews for this new Revolution, I will probably be trading it in. If you do get a DW seriously consider installing a soft start module. It's a cheap and quick modification that makes a big difference! HTH

    Is your workbench based on Paul Sellers bench?
    I contacted Evoloution and they said they have no idea when this would be sold in the the US.
    I appreciated the orange comments and your anguish about cutting hot dogs. Sawstop can get fuct mate.

    • @sawdust934
      @sawdust934  Месяц назад

      I didn’t really look at the Paul sellers one, it was closer to Christopher schwarz’s Nicholson. But only used it as a rough guide and just did what makes sense to me.
