  • Warren Miller is back with our 72nd annual film “Winter Starts Now,” featuring the best snowriding from the mom and pop ski hill down the street to the highest peak on the horizon.
Join us for a road trip through the Rocky Mountains, experience classic New England skiing, and hitch a ride up the coast of Alaska. Along the way, we’ll be joined by old friends like Marcus Caston, Amie Engerbretson, and Jim Ryan. We’re speed riding with JT Holmes and hitting the moguls with Jonny Moseley. We’ll meet rising stars Madison Rose and Paralympic snowboarder Noah Elliott, and follow along as Vasu Sojitra and Pete McAfee complete the first-ever disabled ski descent of Denali.
Buckle up for an adventure, because Winter Starts Now.

Skip it. Watch the trailer a couple times and that’s all you need. It’s a shameless commercial for a ski maker and several resorts. But there’s nothing original. Oh, there’s the token nod to woke culture, slipping in a slam against where privileged skiers. Then , a big segment for disabled skiers. But it’s just not fun. Save your 40 bucks and get yourself a pair of goggles.

This ski movie was not about the skiing. This movie was made to shove an agenda down peoples throat.

The Warren Miller movie in 2019 (Timeless) was one long ad for VW. Shameless, it should have been called. Watch any Warren movie from the 90’s and before and the only plugs are discreet nods to airlines. Back then you got a free lift ticket at the showing, too.

Saw this in November in Marin. It is terrible. It's an infomercial for the sponsors; nothing more. It is not the Warren Miller movie that you are expecting or hoping for. Save your money. Watch Blizzard of AAHH's on RUclips instead.

I met a guy called "Willie" today in the Remarkables. He said he made films with Warren Miller and referenced this film. I am not sure I have his contact details, but I had to film him skiing so he can win a bet with a mate to drive his Porsche. Can you share the Video with Willie? I hope he win's his bet.

Can you make a ski video called Echoes, featuring the Pink Floyd song? I think that would be an amazing combo.

Welp...saw it last night, and am disappointed. The long movie movie really dragged, nothing really stood out as being remarkable or inspiring other than the amputee skier contingent who climbed Denali...pretty cool. I mean, who was the star was in the orange jacket or why we should care? Throughout the movie I kept thinking, how much impact sponsorship and a woke agenda influenced the content. Perhaps better editing or writing to deliver a more focused point of view, or more comedy and less seriousness, or just montages of noobs falling might have improved it. Not to beat a dead horse, but is there really another reason to remind skiers that there aren't a lot of black people in the mountains, let alone ski resorts with canceled names inspired by asian downhills...we get it already (insert stock photo of 20 something redhead female)
