Awesome video!! I’m glad Kala stuck to her guns and walked away with the money!!! Congrats to both Olympians. Always fun to watch😂. I’ve never seen a cruise ship run low on beer?
Kala did great, I think I basically lost on the first spin 🤣. I think it was because it came from a transpacific with lots of sea days maybe.. but ya I agree I haven't had that happen before.😎☀️🍻
You guys are always fun. My hubby and I will be on Ovation in July 2024. But before that we are going to Alaska also with Princess in May 2024. We just started cruising and we are hooked for life! Since you too are adventuring out of Royal Caribbean, you should try Virgin That would be our cruise before Ovation. Valiant Lady is our ship. Going to try MSC abroad also. And 3 more Princess Cruises next year uhuuu 😉
Yay welcome to the cruising family! Kala has always said she wants to try Virgin, we definitely will at some point. So many cruises to plan! Sounds like you have some great ones planned, that's so exciting!! Thanks for sharing! 😎☀️🍻
Thanks for another awesome entertaining informative segment! Congrats to Team Ryan, this season's Olympic Champion! It was very close so I suspect your Title will be in jeopardy next time! Also, congratulations on the casino win! Any time you walk away with more than you came with, you had a good day! Best wishes, fair winds and following seas! ~Smitty
Thank you so much for following along! Kala is very good at these mini-games haha I underestimated her at first but won't make that mistake again 🤣. She did great in the casino, I think I lost on the first spin lol! Thanks for watching ☀️🍻😎
We were on the same cruise as you! We saw ourselves a couple of times in your videos, it was so great to watch back the cruise from another perspective. And we agree, it was such amazing weather (and the beer ran out too quickly!)
I am so sad this series has come to an end. Like I commented in a previous video, my sister and I were on this same exact Alaska cruise and to relive it via these videos has been priceless. Awesome job you two! My next ship is Navigator in November and I see that you have videos on this ship too! Can’t wait to watch ❤
@@bstanz5266 Actually we've been really lucky, the first day was rainy but now we have nothing but sunshine and smooth sailing. They say it's likely that we won't be affected so hopefully that's the case.
You guys have one of the best cruising platforms! For celebrity Your crown and anchor status follows you to the scrubber line so you would have the same status but with some different perks!
Hello Ryan and Kala! Really love the cruising content.. First time cruisers here! Actually typing this comment from the ship! You and Kala helped us with our first cruise and also each video just made us all more excited to cruise. But have a question for you guys? Are you two on the Oasis of The Seas out of NJ?
What a great comment! Thank you so much you made our day. We are on the Oasis of the Seas right now! We are just arriving in Florida and going to Disney today! ♥️😎☀️
Definitely would recommend Virgin. We just sailed with them for the first time in July, and we loved it. They typically have great offers available, like a $300-600 bar tab. Great dining venues onboard too, and they’re all included in the fare.
We definitely want to try Virgin! I do subscribe to all their sales so I have my eyes on them 👀 just waiting for the right time for us. Glad to hear you loved it, thanks for sharing!! ☀️😎🍻
One myth about Disney Cruise Line is that it’s for kids. It’s not. There are more adult only groups & couples on Disney than I thought there would be. Love Disney Fantasy & Disney Dream, they have amazing adult only areas, adult only Cove Cafe, Rainforest room in the Spa, entire adult only district, Palo brunch & adult only dinners, 24 hr included room service, tons of fun beverage tastings like mixology, wine, martini etc. No crazy wild parties on Disney, but trust me, plenty of adult fun & drinking on board. Drinks are reasonably priced, DOTD is about $6! Also, they let you bring 2 bottles of wine per person on embarkation day & in each port, to be consumed on board. I do think it helps if you like Disney, but honestly you could go on the ship and have very little interactions with characters etc. You can sometimes find restricted guarantee rates for sailings that are not more than Royal Oasis class, as an example. Anyway, not saying you should try Disney, but if you do go on the Fantasy or Dream to start. I’m looking forward to more of your cruise vlogs & trying Princess, Celebrity etc. We hope to one day as well. :). Loved the Alaska series!
My sister and Ryan’s brothers all have kids so I imagine one day we will try a Disney cruise with the families, but we are also open to trying it just us too! Thanks for the info that helps a lot. ❤ Glad you’re enjoying the vlogs!
@@kala-ryanandkala Honestly, if I was going with a larger family group and kids I would probably NOT choose DCL 🤣. Only because then you’ll have to be immersed in the long, drawn out dinners with kids and probably do some stuff with them as a family too. Not spend as much time in the adult only areas. Maybe. You might not experience the adult offerings as much. I’m probably not doing a good job explaining it. Lol. I feel like Royal Caribbean Oasis class or maybe even the new Icon is better for truly everyone in the family. It’s just my opinion though.
*Loved* the slot machine play. New nickname.... "Kash Out Kala"!! (Although, "Bobby Big Wheel" has a nicer ring to it.) I was curious when you use your Diamond voucher at the bar for a beer or simple mixed drink, like a Rum and coke. Do you tip the bar-tender? Since, they would automatically add the 18% gratuity if you didn't use the drink voucher. So, the bar-tender isn't getting the automatic tip when you use the Diamond voucher, is it customary to give them a couple bucks cash as a tip?
Haha Kash out Kala is pretty good too! 🤣 for the tips I would say we tip most of the time when using the diamond vouchers, when we are served sitting down by the wait staff we definitely do, but at a bar I would tip less unless we've gone multiple times or something. At dinner we don't but we do tip at the end of the week. Kala is a great tipper she does every time. Nothing crazy we probably just tip $1-2 per drink. That's a great point about how they wouldn't get the 18% I'm definitely going to be thinking about that next time. 😎☀️🍻
Thank you so much! Royal Caribbean always takes good care of Kala for gluten free options. They'll let you order your dining room meal the day before so they can prepare it gluten free. The windjammer didn't have a dedicated gluten free section but all the identification labels indicated if it was GF or vegetarian. In terms of ports it's extra tricky because Kala is also a vegetarian and Alaska has lots of fish. There still was options though you just have to ask around or do some research, we would ask our local excursion guide that day or just do a Google search.
Hey! That's a tough one to answer because it's different for everyone, but generally I would say if you're going to be drinking 6-8+ drinks/day then you'll get your moneys worth. Typically the best deal I see now is the BOGO 50% (25% each). It's a good idea to think about how many ports you have and what kind of cruise it is. If you have 3-4+ ports you may not get your money's worth those days. If it's a summer cruise with Coco Cay or Labadee and multiple sea days, you're going to have an easy time getting your money's worth. I think Royal needs to introduce a beer/wine package for example because it's just too expensive now. Hope that helps!! 😎☀🍻
We usually will usually buy everything in the cruise planner ahead of time for some savings. You can pre-buy the coffee card but I'm not sure it ever goes on sale so it doesn't matter if you wait until you get onboard. 🍻😎☀️
Please keep the cruise vlogs going love the channel!
Thank you so much! We are on the Oasis of the Seas right now so new series shortly!
