i know how you feel...i just watch these guys and figure ive done that a few times..what bums me a bit is learning things i didnt think of doing for 50 years or so..stay safe bro from florida..
@ yeah I’ll keep a eye open .. I’m in Stranraer for 9 days from the 21st on this month .. going to try and find some where for a bit of lure fishing . Never tried the area as I’m always on Skye … so totally going blind
Eyup Nathan. I hope Arwen didn't cause you too much trouble. Not much wind in S Yorks but we're up to our ankles in snow. I'm glad to see you found where the Cod are hanging out again. You went the extra mile as always and I take my hat off to your effort. Thanks for taking the camera again and I'll sithi after. Dave.
Listening to you with your Geordie accent using Cockney rhyming slang made me smile Nathan,. Thank you for giving us another video on a freezing night. 👍
That was a no bad session lovely cod to take home thanks for taken me am no great at casting either the Maine thing is we catch fish till the next one take care
A good video Nathan, nice cod for ya tea. I am one of those Anglers on the Lincs coast that chases the tide out. A lot of anglers pack up after 2 or 3 hours after High water. The fish are still there to be caught, suprising how shallow they feed. Reduce the amount of tackle and follow the tide out, its worth it.
Another highly entertaining video, being a southerner I could listen to that Northern accent all day long. Maybe get a voice activated headlight for next time ! 🤣
Hi mate enjoyed the vid once again. Pleased on ya codling 4 ya. Its been whiting city and a few dabs showing up 4 me in the humber. Ive had one small codling this winter. Bk out 2moz on the spring tide so i hope i get my first big one . Look forward to your next vid. All the best matey from down south in grimsby.
great session slippy yellow tails are much better !! probably a good job you ran out of worm tho mate you would have stayed there the same as i would . take care mate good luck on the next trip
have you ever tried fishing old spark plugs or nuts and bolts instead of leads , I have used them many times over rough ground a lot cheaper if not free!
Another good session pal if I get a good bite I always switch my light on before I pick the rod up I’ve lost fish before just like you we always learn the hard way I’m off out tomorrow night hope I have as much luck as you one cod will do haven’t had one so far this year keep the good vids coming m8 tight line’s.
Most if not all aquatic sea worms with the milky juices are down to their spawning cycle. If there from the south were it's still rather warm they'll be spawning at the moment.
Great vid again! Must be tempted by circles by now laddo after dropping a couple :D mustad demon fine wire 6/0's are the ones to try if you fancy it. Still a good session though
Good session mate, shame about the one you lost second last cast. Mid video you dropped a fish saying slippy damn thing these, when my wife, hanging some clothes on the drier commented, "that's why you're called "slippy limpets", in a droll kinda voice.........made me chuckle. Another good watch Nathan.
Hi there great channel, to the question about the worms, ragworm on the isle of wight where I live are milky inside this time of year due to spawning. I think the lugworm must be similar 👍
Hi Nathan. I've been rewinding the video a few times on your vids. When talking about squid &?? I'm not quite grasping the word!!! would it be squid and crab mix Great vids
Superb thumbnail photo! Another excellent video, I know the beaches aren’t as productive as the rocks up here but I much preferred a beach session. Have you ever fished the cliffs around shields/Sunderland/Durham way?
Alreet mate cracking video again pal ...should meet up for a chuck one night am only ashington.. few good fish are coming out tonight in and around me local tonight
Great session, I also learnt that lesson, if you wind in a fish don't try to do anything else, one day it could be the fish of a lifetime that you drop.
Dont you just love, getting your fingers all yellow stained, ho ho. Come on SL, get your cart in finger bait bags, freeze, prick bag, lash it on, no more stinky cart smell, untill it's in the water, ok you had just received it, ho ho. Another excellent video. Stay safe
Hiya mate, can I ask without sounding disrespectful, are you a novice, biggest reason I ask is the way that you cast, also some times when you bait up, pure curiosity mate, because I've just come across you're chanel, after looking into some serious channels and you by far are the easiest to understand (bare in mind I'm from teesside😂) and compared with others very successful, I want to have a bash at the sea fishing game, been a course angler for many years, looking at other channels it all seemed a bit complicated rig wise I mean you make it look a lot easier some how, best wishes and tight lines mate.
Very good video again mate, Nice 3lb Codlin well done . I believe Fresh baits beat frozen baits every time . What do you think? Also whats your opinion on the new dislike button ?
Awesome videos Nathan! Question please: fished with multipliers on my beach/shore/rock setups my whole life spooled with mono (I am old enough for braid to have come along when I was already set in my ways) although I do use braid on my spinning/lure setups which I spool up with 135/150m of J-Braid or J-Braid Grand. Recently bought a Penn Battle II 8000 as my first venture into FS on one of my beach rods and am planning to spool with 79lb braid straight through - how much braid are you loading on yours? I would assume at least the 270m/300m spools but perhaps even more to allow for a few losses before having to respool? And any comments regarding braid on a muliplier (I use SLOSH 20/30/50's)?
Thanks Lewis! I'm not sure about the total length but I filled my 8000 up to the point on the spool where the angle changes from flat to 45 degrees- I didn't want to over fill it to avoid wind knots. On the SLOSH, I put some mono backing on and wrap that in electricians tape to help stop the braid slipping, then I stick about 150-200 metres of braid on. I found the more braid I added the easier it was to birds nest. You do lose a bit of winding speed with a half filled spool but I'd rather that than risk having to unpick a birdie. Hope this helps and glad you like the vids!
@@SlippyLimpets Fantastic - thank you Nathan ... ps. this covers the answer to the much lengthier email I sent you (I tend to go into too much detail) ha ha ha
S****y caster ? In reality, 75% of us fall into that category - In all honesty I've caught more with dodgy 80yd lobs than trying to achieve distance with fancy techniques....
I think you're right, I normally out fish my mate who can cast for miles, could be a rig or bait thing, but i put it down to the shorter casting distance.
Can’t fish anymore bad health, but really good watching you , all the memories come flooding back, thank you, nice cod ,🤝🤝

Absolutely brilliant.. best content online .. hope I bump into you at some point. Absolute natural at this
Thank you, much appreciated!! I get about a bit so come and say hello if you see me out and about! Tight lines!

Nice cod , consistently good content , thoroughly enjoyable
Enjoyed this slot.reall picked me up.shame that cod got away.stay safe Nathan and tire lines as always mate
May I ask what beach was that mate👍👍
Thought it might have been one of your storm fishing trips after the recent weather :)
great session slippy yellow tails are much better !! probably a good job you ran out of worm tho mate you would have stayed there the same as i would . take care mate good luck on the next trip
Slippy where do fish
All over northumberland coast.
Another enjoyable video 👍
Not a bad hustle for 6 hours fishing. Building tides and northerly swell at the minute, good luck if you’re braving it.
Heading out on Thursday, get good tides, big swells but miss out on the wind🤞
enjoyable session mate, easy mistake to make ....
Would be good to see you on Souter/marsden cliffs... some good fish come off there.
Beautiful keep it coming brother 👍
Glad you liked it and will do!! 👍
cracking mate nice to see you on the beach , some nice fish as well , you have to get a better knife Nathan
have you ever tried fishing old spark plugs or nuts and bolts instead of leads , I have used them many times over rough ground a lot cheaper if not free!
I've heard that before but tried it. My mate sometimes makes his own leads which makes them very cheap, but not as cheap as free!
cracking vid as always i have just got back from a blank minus 2 2 slammers of a bite once only so had to get my cod fix from you cheers bud
Well done mate nice cod 👍
Nice one mate

Hello Holland! Glad you like them and thanks for the comment 👍🎣
Another great video m8 I thought the same thing about angling addict 75 not used to East Coast fishing but I think he enjoyed it

Ah that was you, no worries. Indecently I'm using a SLOSH 20 so you could stick more line on a 30 or 50. Just not too much
Idident know you could catch Sardines in England?
I thought the milky substance was reproductive fluid, bit late in the season now i'd have thouht.
You need something better so that we can see the the tip light and the bites
You don't want to be experienced with catching Whiting either. 🤨
😂I get that impression!!

Tidy session. Whiting have swallowed every hook I have tried up to 6/0. Greedy as.
