- Rest in Power. Flex is originally from Long Beach. What he is most known for is a huge battle between Himself and Boogaloo Leggs Jr. from "The Time Bandits". It was too close to call. However Flex became notorious for his crazy flexible style, glides and waves.

Joel was my neighbor back in the 80’s on 12th St. He was a neighborhood legend. He’d come home with a trophy every weekend it seemed. We’d help scrap and tape together cardboard in exchange for lessons, but most kids just liked to watch in amazement and bear witness to his dance style that came so natural to him. Good and inspirational person. Sorry to hear of his passing. God bless and Rest In Peace.

He was definitely a natural. Poppin came easy to him. Everybody knew about him. People were afraid to battle him. This video deosn"t do him justice. I was lucky to Pop with him and film him gettin down a little. RIP Flex
