In this discussion, Motshekga, the former Chief Whip of the ANC, goes on an offensive against Christianity by denying the reliability of the Bible, the virgin birth, and claiming that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. Moreover, he says that Christianity was concocted by the Roman Empire and, instead of dying on the cross, Jesus fled to Ethiopia with Mary. He further says that Simon of Cyrene is the one who died and was buried, not Jesus. Is this no blasphemy? Why is the Christian faith such an easy target for vilification? @AfrikaMhlophe

He spoke all sorts of blasphemies on that podcast, and what's sad is the audience lapped it up and were cheering him on. My question also, why these women were soo worried about the Roman's while the body was already buried, why would they come back to the grave to see if they buried the right person or not. He is not listening to himself.

I love that insight which Afrika gives: you cannot reject the Scriptures whilst at the same time appropriating the name that was revealed ONLY through those self-same Scriptures. It is such an important point!
That's why we live by Faith according to the Word that originally testified to the price that was paid by sin being dealt with on the cross. Death and resurrection. The saints after Christ declared the same. "He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed".

Mr Mathole Motshekga has been on a blasphemous roll for some time now.
I remember one of his videos around the time of the ANC's 100th anniversary. Motshekga said the Bible was written by the Jews and their friends as a ploy to enslave black people.
In the same video another member of the ANC, I think his name is Murphy Morobe, also came on to tell how, during the riots of 16 June 1976, he walked into Orlando High during assembly and stopped the students while they were reciting the Lords Prayer.
Morobe proudly recounted how he told the students never ever to say this prayer again, because Christianity is a white man's religion.
The sad thing is that people who listen to this dude never fact check what they are saying
