If I may I’d like to offer some additional advise, stop watching the news everyday, there’s no sense exposing yourself to bad news which will only make you feel worse. Get off or greatly reduce time on social media. Seeing how fabulous everyone else’s lives are does help your mental state and self esteem. Lastly walk in nature. Be it a park near your house or a hike in the country. Get out of the house and take the time to experience nature. Good luck to you!
Makeup tip: use your bronzer or blush as an eyeshadow! Simplifies SO much your makeup and really unifies your whole face and makes it look more natural😉

Britt _ I made a separate account for savings and put a set amount of what I made into there right at the start of the month. I also cut down on spending massively as I used to spend about £60/£70 shopping every month for clothes/makeup and now it’s about £10 if that. I also stopped buying things such as coffees from Starbucks as they’re very overpriced so I just make things like that at home. Anything I’ve had spare by the end of the month I put in there too. I am always trying to find ways to make my home AND classroom more minimalistic. I teach resource for grades five and six, which is for students who need extra help in reading, writing, and math. Keeping the classroom decluttered and prioritizing our tasks is helping my students focus and make a lot more progress. Turning off my non school related notifications was something simple that had never crossed my mind before. I am starting to think-what would Kyra do? LOL Thanks for all of these helpful vlogs and I love the frequent uploads. The story about the crazy neighbor was THE BEST !!! I would never acknowledge her again either. One of your videos talked about how you clean every day (or something like that) and it never even dawned on me to do so, been making my life and decluttering much easier!
I lived without a TV for three years and I agree. I liked having my living room not oriented towards a TV. I do have one now, but I bought it one to be able to play games on a PS4 and two, I can cast my computer to it so I can do editing on a bigger screen. But not having it for years had me in the habit of not using it regularly which is a great habit to keep.
I think Old Navy flip flops are good quality, at least for indoor use, which is what I use them for 99% of the time. I bought five pairs at the $1 sale a couple of years ago and I’ve only used one pair, because it’s still in good condition. It was just $5 total, but there was no point in buying five pairs. Maybe if I used them to walk around outside they’d wear out sooner.
I have a tv and I don’t use it anymore. Even my daughter doesn’t watched with on it as well. She loves reading books after school and me, I am so caught up with work and family time and I don’t have extra time to sit and watch tv.
Love your videos. Just a quick thought. Keep your health ins card in your wallet. If you are in an accident and hospital is treating you while you are unable to respond your insurance card is a huge help to you and your care givers. Its called a "wallet autopsy"
Great tips. I was once warned never to pay rent (not talking mortgage just rent) ahead of time. It’s great to secure the money ahead and keep it ready but not to actually hand it over. Heaven forbid there’s a fire or some reason you need to leave immediately you want that money in your own possession for whatever living expenses you may need. Also you’d collect any interest vs sitting in your landlords account collecting interest. Just something I never really thought about.
Yeah you are absolutely right ... I have been living without TV since 2017. And now it's really boring to watch TV for me. .. Actually it's not that difficult to ditch TV.
Great video! I recently went shopping for a new office chair. (I bought one last June for less than $100). Needless to say you get what you pay for, especially if it is something you use alot. I found the one I wanted for $300 at Office Depot. I came home and looked at the reviews and decided it is the chair for me, however I really didn't want to pay $300 for it. I then looked on Amazon, they had it for $200, Office Depot not only price matched but let me use a 20% coupon. I walked out paying less than $200, including warranty and assembly! Never purchase on impulse!

Not all stores will let you return if you only have a photo of the receipt. I tried that once with Walmart and they wouldn’t let me unless I had the physical copy
DIY CRYSTAL it is becoming more popular but if an emailed receipt is not an option, I wouldn’t recommend getting rid of your physical receipt unless you know the stores policy if they would accept a photo of it

White bath linens + oxy clean = game changer! I buy all white linen for oxy clean reasons, they just look cleaner. I have t-shirts for my hair and cotton pads for my face, so I don't care if they get dye or makeup on them. Have you tried oxy clean?
Yea I try my best not to use chemical cleaners :( when it comes to whiten my whites (clothes wise) I use vinegar,lemon and water. That method works best when it sits in the sun for awhile 👍🏼
Also to save money get rid of cable you watch only a few channels anyway. And get Lowcast if you have a fire stick. Has the basic cable channels and it’s Live TV!!
I haven't watched tv in over 2 years and don't miss it. Olive oil is another good one for hair.👍👍Also, if you air dry your clothes, it helps with humidity in the winter. And good for your houseplants Kyra😊

I disagree on the old navy slippers. When I bought mine it lasted 2 years until my cat chewed on them breaking them and then I bought a replacement and that lasted me another two years as well with the results of my cat biting it again. But they didn’t break on their own. Probably could’ve lasted much longer.

A good tip for coins is converting the change in your wallet to cash consistently (every week, or every month, etc). This way collecting coins in your wallet lowkey motivates you cus you know at the end of the week it’ll turn to actual dollar bills :)

You should have your own opinions on the stuff first, as the reviews can be subjective. Last but not least, is there any way for Canadians to dry their clothes in the winter without using the dryer machine? This is a serious question though.
I recently ordered baby pink towels and hand clothes and I discovered it was not a good decision because it shows any extra makeup leftover when I use them lol I also don’t have my tv on unless I’m watching it. I can’t stand the extra noise, it keeps me from focusing on other things I need to do. You’re not a forgettable person! Forgetful, maybe lol
