Do they become fully aquatic later in life

I know a newt keeper who keeps and breeds almost all of his newts fully aquatic nearly all year round, although I think these particular newts benefit from having time on land outside of breeding season as they’re very mobile and salamander like!

I need to find some outside of underground reptiles because all of their stuff is wild caught

Got the colors reversed. The MALES keep the orange stripe

Absolutely not true, the guy in the video is indeed correct. Brightest in juvenile marmoratus (and pygmaeus) of both sexes, the males vertebral stripe fades and when mature is just a faint barred line outside of the breeding season.

We in the states only have imports. I honestly want to have a group just to introduce captive born ones into the country

You in the states are spoilt for choice with the herps you get.. we can only dream of! Hehe

@@TerraHistoria6 ehhhh not entirely. Our Fish and Wildlife guys just don't care as much about the imports unless it involves recognition or a ride in their paycheck. For some reason though, some native species on our end are banned from the trade entirely. You guys in europe have done more with Eastern Hognoses then we in the states which I have mad respect for

Umm... do you even live in the states? I've never seen an imported newt in the past 10+ years, all of them are now captive bred. Check out morphmarket, there are a few good breeders working with marbled newts and other species there.
