Camshaft Sensor fault? If you are receiving a P0011 code the problem could be the camshaft sensor. This video will help you repair the part and save you money $$$.
Thank you. Your video helped me to replace the exhaust VVT SOLENOID, on my wife’s car, after getting a P0013 and P0014 Engine Code. The light went out and it’s working fine. Happy wife...Happy husband😉
Bought one of these cars and has been nothing but junk, I'm hoping this is the fix cuz I'm broke as hell might as well take a gamble. Thanks for the video
Beyond all the positive and negative comments, I want to add to the positive comments. I've seen several videos related to this fix and you are the first to mention disconnecting the battery terminal to minimize any damage to an electrical component. Thank you! I'm making this fix in a day or so after already replacing the intake and exhaust solenoids a couple of weeks ago.
Honestly, if your vehicle is stalling and you have the P0011 code, then most likely it is the variable valve sensor. That is based off the statistics I got from the auto parts store and the most common failures. The intake and exhaust sensors go bad pretty regular. My vehicle only has 60,000 miles on it and I have had both the intake and exhaust valves go bad on me. When I got the P0011 code pop up, I changed both the intake sensor and camshaft position sensor just to be on the safe side. So if I was you, I would start with replacing the intake sensor first to see if that solves the problem. If not, then change the camshaft position sensor. Plus the intake sensor is easier to replace because of where it is located. Hope that helps. I haven't had a problem since I changed them.
@@chinchillamade Make sure you didn't install the intake and exhaust in reverse spots. If not, check the code again and see if you may be having a different issue. There are multiple different causes from the same code. This is just some of the most common.
I have a 12 equinox with p0014 b camshaft position timing over advance or system performance bank 1, all ready replaced both vvt solenoids still have the code but this fix it ??
Very Good Video. I have a friend (ad I'm no pro) who has a P0016 andn P0011 codes and I started on the VVT solenoids like you said most do. Fired it up with great expectations, and dang....still misfires/out ot time and pulled the Crankshaft and Cam sensor codes. Luckily they are easy to replace, and I might. tackle it this weekend and get him rolling.
@@karlosspades7293 Not sure, friend was working a summer job and had to get back to TX I put new VT solenoid and Camshaft sensor, but not Crank sensor. He had it scheduled at a GM dealer soon after.
This guy is on the job. I got part and will fix later. But anyone watching do your homework! There are other channels call or confusing the parts. I already replaced both the intake and exhaust ones. @@everythingoutdoorsman 100% agree, I had been chasing this with my 2014 for a few weeks, replaced the solenoids which didn't help then found this awesome video, problem fixed. THANK YOU!!

If I recall, slide out the little grey clip and try squeezing it right where the clip is at while pulling gently apart. Look where the two come together. You should be able to see the little hook that keeps the wire harness from accidentally disconnecting. One tiny hook keeps that thing held together. They are frustrating.

That should be either in intake or exhaust . Id just swap both at the same time. You can get both for about $30 on amazon. Cheap enough to see if it fixes your issue. Good luck.
Thank you for making this video. I see that I’m not the only one wondering exactly where that part was located exactly. Haha. Bravo Zulu 👍🏻🇺🇸

Wish you would've showed us "how" you actually' got to that 10mm bolt out, not to mention back in !!! 🤔🛠

I did change all 3 sensors, and still stalling 15 seconds after first start up

I’m screwed. I can’t get these sensors out of my terrain without removing the entire motor. No one wants to entertain the job.
I've seen it done with out taking out the whole engine lol I had a video I seen
Thank you. Just like you said nobody made this video. I needed it. God bless you
This was a huge help. Thank you so much! I had no idea where to find the sensor lol. 🙏
Great Video. Thank you for sharing
U should replace both sensors at same time..1 in front near oil filter also..
Grasias amigo
Thank you so much! This video helped a lot!
Advance and Zone says 2 required. What about the second one?
I have only replaced the one in the video. No issues ever since it was replaced.
there are 2 of them, other one on the front of the motor near the battery.
Amigo ambos sensores son iguales ?
Thank you
how many sensors are for the cam position
Did you find out? The stores say 2. This video says 1?
there are 2 sensors (dual overhead cam) so one on back as in this video and one in front near the battery
Thanks.... all I found before was the sensors on top...
Same question as the other guy. How did you know it was the rear sensor compared to the front one? Thanks for making this video by the way.

Can Thay be cleaned with what kind of spray
Honestly don't know if they can. Id be interested to know if you try it.
I'm going to try it I'll let you know
Can always clean the VVT solenoids with brake cleaner and blow out with compressed air.
How does the clip come off

what about the one in front below the left of battery box ..

Where can find the intake?? Where do they sell it at??
Question.. where's the secondary camshaft position sensor location
Not sure what you're referring to. If there is one, I can't help you with that. Sorry.
what codes where u getting ?
P0011

What size is the head on that rear bolt? 10, 11 or 12mm?
