We were there last week. They were turning cars around. When we were about the 4th car in line the started letting cars in. We made it in, but lots of the trails were closed and parking was very limited. We made it to Juan Diego falls for a bit. Then we took a 40 minute detour out of El Yunque to Angelito Tralhead. Where the wife and kids swam in the river.
Love it!! Thank you for sharing @miguelcruzonline Sounds like you and family had a great eXperience! We loved the Angelito Trailhead eXperience. Did you happen to find the tree trunk that looks like a face on the trail?
@@TheEmptyNesterDiaries we kinda lucked out at Angelito Trailhead. There were only a couple of people there and they eventually left. Leaving the place completely to our selves.
We actually didn't get a ticket. We visited the visitor center - which was pretty cool. Then we went to other parts of the Rain forest and hiked around. We did not get entry to climb to the top....unfortunately. Next time!!
1 hour 30 minutes will take you to drive to Ponce, its more fun, try that adventure someday, you won’t regret it 🇵🇷
Thank you for commenting! Great advice! :-) We had heard about Ponce (I think there is bio-luminescence there?) but ran out of time to visit
