Fredrik Fan Flamini broke the distance covered record in EPL in this game. After Diaby sent off, he gotta cover the midfield almost alone and he did. He ran more than 18km in this game towards an unlikely win.
Yesterday's score against hull. 3-2 to arsenal, hull were up 2-0 in the first 8 mins and arsenal came back and won it 3-2 and won the F.A. Cup!....... Come on arsenal
And recently in 2019 against villa. 1-0 down with 10 men, scored a penalty to level (1-1) conceded right after that to go behind again (2-1), found a equalizer (2-2) and then hit another from a free kick on the 86th minute to win it (3-2) - supporting arsenal isn’t for the faint of heart.
@Vernon Francis Gallagher It did though. Arsenal were top of the table for a very long time that season people forget that. The Birmingham game changed everything tbh. It's just like the liverpool v arsenal game arsenal won in 2004. If arsenal had lost that game then I'm entirely sure they wouldnt have won the league.
@@trenchrock09 No one said Man Utd did not have a great side. Of course they did. bolton wanderers were arsenal's kryptonite circa early 2000s during their BPL run..my bro in law was an arsenal fan and who dread watching the 2 play no matter how good form or run Arsenal were having at the time lol
That tackle was brutal so reckless it can end a whole career it deserved a red if I could be the official without second thought I would have sent diaby out fair play,,,,,What a come back #once a gunner always a gunner
This Arsenal Kit & the white one we had same time are still 2 of my favorite Arsenal kits that has ever been produced. The time was exciting too as a fan ,even our young team was something back then it's a shame we got ruined by injuries & players turning their back on the club but it just made Arsenal stronger now from that experience especially in terms of future proofing, finances, getting better players & somewhat injuries.I hope we win the league soon it's been long due now.
Yeah, we're not winning the league anytime soon. We'll be lucky to keep Sanchez too. We just finished fifth, our lowest finish in 20 years, this 2007-08 team is as close as we've come to winning the league since 2004.
I remember being pissed that summer when we let Hleb and Flamini go. They were both top class that season and made the foundation for a solid midfield. What could've been...
The thing is Wenger used to be revolutionary. Inverted wingers, Gilberto dropping into the backline to allow the fullbacks to push on, Henry and Bergkamp roaming all over the pitch, manmarking specific players, putting Bergkamp into midfield in a diamond etc. As he got older he got more rigid, or lack the players to play the all round game he likes and had to adapt to increasingly limited players. As good as Poldoski/Giroud and Walcott are, you can only use them in a certain way. Still manages to surprise occasionally. I mean what kind of mad scientist would pull Cazorla into DM? But his stubborness is legendary when things do not work out. Was a fun ride for the most part.
Me: "Look, it's Diaby!!!" Myself: "Where on the phsio's table?" Me: "No, on the pitch" Myself: "wwwwhhhhhaaaaatttttt" Me: "ow hold on, nope, now he's been sent off"... This guy could never catch a break, could've been another Arsenal legend.

Superb team with likes of Fabregas, Van Persie, Adebayor, Hleb and Rocisky but Wegner let them down with flop defending players like Sanderos, Justin Hoyte and many more garbage players who cost them the title.
If only they realised there was deadly striker potential hidden in their Wing player, named Robin Van Persie, sooner.. They would be unstopable for few season

Remember that day vividly! The away section went absolutely berserk after the 3rd Arsenal goal.
A great team only ruined by injuries back then.
tragic season but one of the greatest
English primers lege
Eshan Patil and by an awful defence, and keeper.
Eduardo's injury ruined it all
J Richardson, not an awful defence at all. Only the Invincibles conceded less in a league season since 1999. Keeper was poor though.

best third shirt ever
it was dreamy wan it
Haykal Riadhi am ordering it now. Best ever

Brilliance declined around 2012
Gallas, Van Persie, Fabregas

Cesc, RVP, Hleb, a decent Theo, and then there's Almunia between the sticks. One of these weren't like the others.
