I once tripped over and did an automatic shoulder roll. I didn't even know what it was. Now I do, along with the full technique, and I can't do one to save my life. Typical.
Try aikido mae ukemi tutorials. It is a bit easier explained and you'll get up faster because they end with both feet active instead of just one. It's similar to this roll.
Here's how I progressed: * Futon or bed (2 weeks daily) * Thick carpet or sand (2-4 weeks daily) * Thin carpet or grass (8-12 weeks; check all outside surfaces for rocks and sticks) * Tatami mats, linoleum and wood floors (wood is a bit springy; 8-12 weeks) * Asphalt and concrete When you get to thin carpet, if you wear a hard leather belt or anything clipped near your hips, remove them first. Later, you can add them in as your roll becomes smoother and rounder. They didn't injure me too much, but they did reduce the number of times I could practice because of the bruises.
Did it in Dark Souls, works perfectly 10/10
Holy shit searched for this after 5 years having no ideia this was here
gonna leave this comment as well to accidentally find it under your comment

Sonic the Hedgehog was his graduate student
I can do these but I do them fast so I end up bruising my shoulder blade.
Its probably better to start with falling forward from your knees in case you mess up
I don't have the guts to do it on solid floor

first you want to practice till you get the technique perfect: This will minimise the chance of injury, then you can try on solid floor
@@ChaimLeibHalbert I did twice in the bed, seemed easy tried floor, it hurts.
People are going to hurt themselves, best to break it down from the floor to get roll part down before standing up.
he is doing it in a TN boots
I do this in my shadowhawk to avoid lrm15 clusters
help, i keep landing on my side, what do ?
Also, practice on mats. At least wrestling mats until you're experienced like this guy.
Dang that’s perfect
*Crush walks in*
Falls intentionally
I want to try this but i just ate lol
The point of a shoulder roll is you don't hit your head. If you do this correctly you head never touches the ground or mat. Thanks for watching.
Is your shoulder is pain
I just wanna be like the lean mean green ninja turtle team:(
pause at 0:51 and put on subtitles XD
lol
Are you doing a roll on a left shoulder
