  • @hendo337
    @hendo337 4 года назад +2

    Holy shit, if he did a TBSS intake and opened it up for a 102mm $90 china TB he could make almost 1,000whp. That's no joke for a forged 6L. Here I have been thinking about building a 408 or a Dart SHP block in 388,427 or 454 flavor(all 4.125" bore) and running some spoolibois...no damn need for displacement it looks like. Transmission, converter, driveshaft and axle is where you need to put that money if you want to have a prayer putting down any power.

    • @SloppyMechanics
      @SloppyMechanics  4 года назад +1

      most often the 102 is a total waste,
      expensive and adds no power over a 80 ish mm throttle, it does most of the time ruin idle air resolution, and it is a pain in the ass often to tune tip in and other off idle and recover to idle shit though.

    • @ljkking622
      @ljkking622 4 года назад +1

      @hendo337 4 года назад

      @@SloppyMechanics 🌠 The more you know.🌠 🤣😂😁 I'd never spend more than $90 on a TB, the TBSS intake might give him a healthy result at that power level though.

    • @hendo337
      @hendo337 4 года назад

      @@ljkking622 usually a tuner can accommodate a big TB, probably more of a pain in the ass than the extra 10hp is worth when you're already over 450rwhp n/a.

    So is Phasing the same as Sequential fuel injection? Or just better scaled-to-cam sequential fuel injection?
    Is Term X a sequential fuel injection system from a base tune?

    • @espenschjelderup426
      @espenschjelderup426 4 года назад

      You need sequential to do phasing. But sequential don't have to be more than injecting timed to a fixed crank angle.
      To get all the advantages of sequential the injection need to be phased to different crank angles dependent on load and rpm, or at least rpm.

  • @amindnew527

    God forbid the injector phasing gave up higher MPG's too... lol

    Hey Matt, quick question... Shouldnt target AFR be closer to 10.0 on 60% ethanol? Pure E85 is usually 7.5 if im not mistaken. Just wondering why if you're always too lean . I know 12.6 is the norm for standard pump gas.

    • @ericmiller4285
      @ericmiller4285 4 года назад

      Its just being tuned on the gas scale. If you were to switch to an e85 scale you would be ballpark 9.8-1 region. Honestly, its easiest to tune in lambda imo. Easiest way to do math on the fly in your head.
