you can always abstain from listening if you dont like something.But there are several aspects you need to watch out when some one sings.Bhaavam(expression),Bhakti(devotion),Daivatvam(divinity),Precision.According to me there is everything in this song.Be it any genre,MS performed like no one could .In this song,apart from Modulations(gamakams) which are typical for carnatic,between 1:35 to 1:55,she sang everything in Hindustani style.Actually speaking no one ever can attempt anything like her.
Should i say thanks after hearing this beautiful song? no.not at all, I think silence would be best show my genuflected admiration to this song as well as to its deliverer
