Its a shame Uber/Deliveroo can't set up some system where you can have a picture of your ID verified through the app itself and then all the rider has to do is make sure the picture matches with what is on their account (is it the same face lol).

That button is there to start journey once you're at vehicle and ready to start it has nothing to do with restaurant and you sholdn't be pressing it until you're back at vehicle/unlocked and you have checked journey etc.

You have to have ID on deliveroo and Uber eats. It’s called challenge 100. Meaning challenge 100% of customers. If they don’t have ID then you can’t deliver it. They also have mystery shoppers who report you to deliveroo for not IDing them and you lose your account.
