Beautiful guitar. For a while the Orville by Gibsons were almost a best kept secret, especially on Reverb. Long neck tenon, USA pickups, made really well...then it was like the internet woke up and now it's difficult to find one under 2 grand. Great demo of a fantastic instrument!
I got both of my ObG before the internet woke up. I guess it was a couple years ago that Gibson jacked up their prices and made people look closer for great alternatives. My ObGs are better than my actual Gibsons
I bought one years ago when I was looking for an SG but couldn't afford it and got an ObG SG because it was cheaper, and wow. That thing rocks, and I'll never sell it.
Cool mustache! Nice playing I’m wondering about getting one for about $1400 where I live. I would like to hear your opinion. Also can u compare it to the “genuine” Gibson LP?
Get it now. $1400 is a steal for a ObG Custom. The electronics are the real deal Gibson pickups, pots, etc, and the craftsmanship on the body and hardware is just as good. I have a genuine Gibson LP, and I always reach for the ObG. I've used it for a 3-piece jazz band for a wedding cocktail hour, I've used it for AC/DC in rock shows, and for Taylor Swift songs in pop shows. The most succinct way I can put it is stealing from a friend who came over and played it. He said, "This guitar fucks!"
@@user-zd2xr9ng8s just double check the headstock. If it's Orville by Gibson, get it. If it's just Orville, that's a solid guitar but not a great deal.
Nice bill Laurence pickups!
TIGHT!

Saw one at a pawn shop years ago. I didn't know what it was then.
