This DR-Z series are the examples of perfection. Everything is brought to the viewer in the simplest and most understandable way. Truly the best videos on RUclips. Huge respect from Lithuania. You helped me A LOT.

Best tutorial on the internet! Can't believe how much money I've wasted over the years paying mechanics to do the work, I now know for sure I can do my own brakes clutch and top end! (Still will leave the bottom end for the mechanics) thanks for taking the time with this brilliant drz series!

Enjoyed them so much. Just recently sold my 94 CR500R which was mint with only one season of racing but now I need to find a worn out DR-Z to strip and rebuild. Really appreciated from the U.K.

    Thanks for this series, Tim.
It was so satisfying hearing it start and seeing it run.
The owner is getting a first-class repair to enjoy for many more years.

All that work why wouldn't you clean the outside of the engine case. Re-grease those shock links and bearings. Truly disturbs my sense of order.

Great work. Have to agree with the others. All that work you put the old piston back in and cleaned nothing.. did not even put a tad of grease on the swing arm bolt. makes me itchy.. 😳

Hes already said this was a budget build for a friend. Cleaning cases is more labor.

Hi Tim I’m of similar size to you. A little shorter and am actively looking at a project adventure bike rebuild like your klr series or this series. Can you recommend one over the other for someone 6’ and of larger size?

I think I hear a little rattle, maybe the cam chain tensioner is not properly tighten.
