Best part is, she's doing all this without sheet music. That means she's feeling the music, understands when to play and when to stop. She has a great ear for music and will always do well on any stage she graces. GREAT job!
it’s jazz, so you normally just know the tunes, and don’t read music. The pianist isn’t reading either...
The point is it’s normal for jazz musicians, but not musicians her age. That’s why it’s great
First off she’s awesome. But it depends, improvising well is insanely rare for her age, but memorization is typically much easier than reading.

Musicians play off each other. Reading music is only following a program...might as well have a machine do that. Musicians instinctively know what's gonna work and when.

짬바이브라는 말이 너무싸구려틱해서 쓰기는힘든데... 어린아이가 나와서 하는게 얼마나 예쁘고 기특했겠어요ㅎㅎ 저는 요리하지만 초등생와서 스테이크 미디움레어로 흉내라도내면 그거보고 저도 좋아서 더 보여주고 알려주고 싶을거같아요ㅎㅎ 나와의 스킬은 레벨은 다르겠지만 그나이에 그마음이 얼아나 예뻐요ㅎㅎ 아는걸 차분히
해내가는 그러면서 실수는 없는... ㅎㅎ 이쁘네요! (옆에 아줌마들 소리는 솔직히 좀...ㅎㅎ)
Been playing trumpet for 50 years, that kid has a tone that takes some people years and years to develop.. she has a Herb Alpert tone already.. amazing !!!

I felt that clarity and ping in that tone and I don't even okay any instrument, only sing a little. And her long notes are consistent, breath management!
So true. It would be interesting to know if she comes from a very musical family. I know my kids do and it is very easy for them to learn to play certain instruments but none stuck with any. When my now 26 yr old son was like 14 we were at our small town hall. Someone started playing piano very good and everyone upstairs said who is playing? We said we do not know . Someone said it was my son. I was flabbergasted! Sure enough he was the one. He never had lessons or a piano at home. He played guitar self taught. In his piano class in high school he taught himself piano. The teacher said he and another student would learn the piano notes by sound so they could play piano and guitar together for a song. The other help was they could read music. So if they learned the keys they could play.
It really would be interesting if this young girl heard music all her life. But it is possible she is just so good because she loves playing so she has had a lot of practice. Either way she is amazingly talented.
No matter how old you are:if you got it you can play with anyone. Great job,young lady!

저 어린이가 트럼펫을 분다는 게 신기하네. 트럼펫 자체가 많은 힘과 폐활량을 요구하는건데. 게다가 완주, 두곡씩이나. 대단한 연주가가 되겠네.
미국.유럽에선 중학교때까지 예능활동으로 트럼펫. 클라리넷같은 악기 하나씩은 다 합니다.

콩쿨 경력도 물론 중요하겠지만 저런 분위기와 갑작스레 조성된 환경에서 나오는 실력이 더 멋있다고 생각함. 이 나이 먹도록 불어본 악기라곤 리코더 밖에 없는 내 자신이 부끄러울 정도로 정말 잘하네.

Recognizing and encouraging latent talent is not easy unless one leaves the standard descriptions behind. So many children are refused entry into Gifted and Talented school programs because the testing methods are so limited.

Pure sweet notes, pure intonation, a total understanding of chords, arpeggios, constructs, - almost intuitive. This young woman is already well on her way. Love that flat-fifth at the end - she plays-by-colour! Closer to Chet Baker that way. You can't teach that.

재즈 국룰곡이긴 하지만, 멜로디라인 후에 선보인 솔로는 정말 감탄을 안할수가 없네요.. 메인 멜로디 부분으로 시작해서 즉흥으로 솔로를 한번씩 돌리고 다시 멜로디부분을 하고 마무리하는게 일반적인 재즈 잼의 구조인데, 그런 부분까지도 잘 캐치하고 있고 즉흥연주와 마무리도 어린나이에 너무 훌륭하네요!!!!!!
미래가 너무 기대됩니다!!!!
(재즈를 많이 접해보지 않으신 분들께서 저게 프리스타일로 연주한걸 알아주셨으면 해서 댓 올립니다..! 물론 프리스타일 부분을 미리 정해놓고 연습했을 가능성도 있지만 원래는 즉흥구간입니다..!)

I see many vids where the kid is described a "genius" or "Amazing", and I in turn write a paragraph as to why they are not. But here is a very special lady. A trumpet player who has a superb tone, a great sense of rhythm and a confidence that I wish I'd had at that age. She is wonderful. I sincerely hope that she keeps at it. All she needs is the time in front of her to practice, get better, and she'll be up there with the greats. I wish her all of the best wishes in the world. I love her to bits. She's a Musician. I totally agree with you on everything! About this person playing, but I mean you don't have to write paragraphs about other people about how they aren't a “genius” or “amazing.” Of course you can not think someone isn’t amazing at an instrument but you don’t have to comment about it. When I was first starting piano when I was 7 I was horrible my brother who is very skilled at piano also commented about how I played wrong. Yes it could be taken as constructive criticism. But it was in a very mean/rude way.

She goes to school on Monday and the teacher asks the kids what they did this weekend. When it comes to this little girl she says, "Teacher, I'm a musician and I played the trumpet at the Kit Kat Jazz Lounge downtown, just like I do every weekend."

You cannot start too early to enter the stage of life🥰 I was a singer my whole life long and my first appearance on big stage I had at the age of 4...now I am an opera singer since 32 years...I hope that she also can keep the fire burning in her heart and feel the harmony with other people and nature for the rest of her life by making music😍🎺
This comment gave me a bittersweet feeling. I sing Jazz since i was a teen, unfortunately I was not able to go to music school because my parents had a different plan for me. I am 31 now and I do not know how to play any instruments, nor have the time to play and learn because of work schedule, I still sing, but as a hobby now. I wish I could have followed my dream and went to music school instead. :(
@@fildelara279 I am an adult amateur, but I started to learn the flute at 34 and I am now 43. It is never too late to start doing the things we love, but to be honest I know very well I will never be a Jean Pierre Rampal =) . Nowadays I am able to play with an excellent Cuatro player (since he is the better musician he corrects me a lot). So it depends in where you put your goals. Hope you get your music together!!!

I want to give you three points to think about, not to make you feel bad, but to be satisfied with all the things that you could manage to reach in your life until today...
1) In Germany we have a saying: "You only have enough time for those things that are important enough for you." I know that's easy to say...i know there's a lot of things in our lifes that are important...family, health...a car, holiday...but imagine all the things that you could NOT DO being a professional musician...music ist the most beautiful hobby on Earth - but living only by music (and arts) is the most difficult way of life that you can imagine!
2) The most favourite German writer - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - said: "All the things that you want to do in your life - start to do it! - NOW!!!" That means that it is never too late for anything...no matter how old you are. Age only tells you the number of miles running around the Sun🌞But...you have TO REALIZE IT NOW😉
3) Do you really think that (for example) JOE COCKER is able to "sing"? - No! He is not!...but: he sounds f...ing good and I loved his voice my whole life long🤩I could never sing like him (and he could never sing like me - so what?)...but...he got famous all over the world😎me not😄
If you work in a hospital...no one needs 500 Heart-Specialists! A hospital needs also the "little" hard working students and doctors to run the office...
So, be satisfied with your life and start your biggest dream TODAY...NOW!

Perfect tone, articulation, and phrasing. Better than some of the adults she's playing with! I am thrilled that little girls are now allowed to play trumpet and cornet and thrive. 50 years ago that wasn't the case in my town. Girls were driven out of the brass section. I am so happy!

How or why have so many people have given this a thumbs down. I was in marching band for 4 years and I was terrible. This girl is GIFTED! The only issue I see is the piano man needs to lighten up and let her have a bit more stage time.
Pure jealousy. Plus, a surprising number of people do not appreciate jazz in its many forms. This kid rocks!

Brilliant is the only word. No sheet music. Playing within the music that's being played. That's hard to do for most professionals without practice. Unbelievable talent. This girl is going places. Bravo sweetness. Bravo.
