    National Museum of American Diplomacy.
    The Department of State (DOS): is an executive department of the U.S. Federal Government responsible for advises the U.S. President and leads the nation in foreign policy issues. It was established in 1789.
    Trough its diplomats, the State Department engages with other countries to address global challenges and promote security, prosperity, democracy, and conducting treaty negotiations and agreements with foreign countries.
    It is the responsibility of the American Secretary of State to support solutions that improve the quality of life of foreign people and protect the environment.

    Abraham Lincoln pretty much caught it when he said; “War is untying with the teeth a political knot that will not yield to the tongue.”
    For its finer points I would recommend a study of Ambrose Bierce’s “The Devil’s Dictionary”
