yeah except the game's combat is trash. first of all you can slow down the movement of the game removing a lot of the difficulty of hitting your arrows. second of all, the enemies attacks are mostly unavoidable and very hard to sight read. Third of all, the enemies feel clunky and uninterested on the player when they're not doing an attack animation. the game looks beautiful -- probably the best looking game out there -- but the combat system is so clunky feeling when compared to a souls like or nier: automata that it's laughable. if you don't agree with me you've never played those types of games before and you're clearly missing out.

Lets not forget your main enemy is HZD and HFW is machines, which, even the small ones, are far physically stronger than any man or woman, parrying against any machine other than a watcher and its closely related cousins would be completely useless, even a strider, would be far to physically powerful to parry its attacks. it would just send aloy flying, or outright crush her. Parrying against machines that are almost always much bigger than you are, and many times heavier too, is completely useless, a waste of time and energy, and will get you killed, especially on a person of aloys size and frame. Thats why all the characters in the game who dont dodge or move as much as aloy does in a fight always carry extremely heavy armor and heavy impact based weapons, like hammers or maces, so they can use the heavy weapons to throw away any machines charging at them, using the heavy weight of the weapon and armor to increase the strength of their strikes and to better hold their ground. instead of parrying, redirecting the machines charges or jumps away from their bodies. while bludgeoning them to death in the process.

Thanks, yeah the coolest machine to hunt in HZD for me was the Thunderjaw(robot T-Rex). In HFW it is now the Slaughterspine(robot Spinosaurus), based of this evolution in the next game I hope there is a robot Dragon.

I assume that it must be using some sort of vessel to set a trajectory for earth, Beta said it was a swarm of machines. When it arrives it will probably switch out vessels for a powerful new boss machine. What I don't know is how an AI is generated into existence as a ball of light, basically pure energy.

Omg this was incredible! My biggest issue is I panic and run back and forth for like 15 min taking shots only when I feel safe, you were so freaking calculated I was so amazed I had to watch it twice! I need this level of confidence in horizon for sure!

"biggest AAA let down"? cmon now. either you haven't played too many AAA games at all, or you just didn't really play HZD. not picking a fight, but do check it out again, it's an absolute gem. one of the best open world games made. then play the sequel and be blown away again.

I'll say one of the best qualities of the Horizon series is that every enemy is very learnable and once you do learn how to bring them down quickly and efficiently it just feels soooo rewarding to do it.
@@GamedgamerGg nah . It does . It's not the aim assist you're thinking of where the reticle snap close to a target. The game is very generous with hitting targets . Sort of like the arrows slightly curving towards the areas you'd want to hit. Ive finished the whole game on ultra hard . I game on pc so i know exactly the feeling of bullets/arrows freely moving and hitting vs a console game helping the bullets/ arrows adjust a bit to hit the target since it's much harder to have true free aim with a controller vs mouse.
Nice precision shooting. I myself usually use the Brawlbreaker after freezing it, but also, I'm still on Normal until I get all my weaves and coils I want for my weapons. Awesome! Mostly because I get hit a lot by its tail. ;)

This was just one of those rare occurrences where I just happened to hit almost every shot but there is a technique to it. Every shot I make I always make sure its in slomo given by either sliding or jumping.(long explanation) I only use normal concentration when there is downtime between the machines attacks as im not vulnerable during that time. Never aim in realtime unless you just want to deal raw damage during the fight, in slomo given by agility you can align shots with weakpoints by estimating where the crosshair will move to with Aloys motion. Slomo also gives the extra time to make the corrections to hit the shot. Also while using slomo agility you can still trigger concentration which zooms in the crosshair, I just realized this some time after this and it makes it way easier to hit the weakpoints.
@@faradiaulia5560 Yeah these new mechanics are quite powerful. HZD you could use slomo agility to an extent but HFWs jump in level when looking at mechanics has made it easier to make use of them compared to HZD.
Almost all my favourite games are considered retro or old school. The 2 Horizon games are the only modern era games that truly break that mold. I cannot even put into words how good I think they are. Nothing in the last 10 years comes close in my opinion.
@@lousassle4353 I disagree on that. GoW I was close to giving up on. Glad I didn't because it did get extremely good but the first half of the game was very slow paced. At no point did I feel like that with either Horizon game. They are on a different level in my personal opinion.

@@redtiger8275 yea I finally fought it at level 50 now and most of my weapons are fully upgraded if not close. Luckily the 3 times I fought it I had somewhat of an advantage because of the landscape. It caught me off guard with its speed when it charges you. All in all I’m not as scared of it anymore unless I have to fight it on open ground. That’s being said I think the stormbird is still the most annoying to fight

I remember I came across the slaughterspine. I packed my bags and got out of there like that viola Davis meme. I was not yet equipped for that battle. I still haven’t fought it yet and I’m like 70% done with the game 😂. I’ll get around to it 🤷🏽♂️

@@redtiger8275 yea I finally fought it at level 50 now and most of my weapons are fully upgraded if not close. Luckily the 3 times I fought it I had somewhat of an advantage because of the landscape. It caught me off guard with its speed when it charges you. All in all I’m not as scared of it anymore unless I have to fight it on open ground. That’s being said I think the stormbird is still the most annoying to fight

I only have Zero dawn ( I play on PC) and gosh this sequel looks PO-LISHED! The graphics and lighting are just spectacular and it's no surprise this guys doing this video. I have 3K+ Hours in Zero dawn. Also I just love the PS5 it's so relaxing and stuff
