Looking on the display, the Tesla didn't know there was a car there until it was passing it, so it did recognise the road sign in front of the crashed car but not the car itself.
FSD 13 will be the moment everyone goes crazy...reverse, parking etc feature complete means the remaining bears will be eliminated ,ATH before year end
Saved my husband’s life 2 weeks ago when a semi hit his bumper & sent his Tesla spinning across 3 lanes of traffic on a highway. He walked away & the car suffered minor damages. ❤
12.5.6.3 is so good its really amazing. Hurry mode is great on freeway but still trash on normals roads taking forever to get up to speed. And sometimes never. But on freeways it’s amazing. And overall the driving has been flawless. Amazing for me.
I've experienced the FSD in a model S just a week ago and this thing is pretty legit. I was apprehensive at first but it did really well. I still wouldn't trust it 100% though lol.
Just watching the video made me want to white knuckle my phone. FSD still needs to come a long way before I could actually relax. This video is impressive for what it is but I can find 100 more where FSD straight up runs into something without even barring an eye / braking lol.. I love technology but I’m not sure I would ever fully trust my life to it. 😂
Great stress test. BRAVO!!! Also dealt very well with random acts of driving from other vehicle! Good! Notes/ Question really... Who has right of way in the US in the absence of a signal or road markings - Those merging right or those merging left or is it in turn? (We may have just 'cut someone up' [English, UK] really badly at 0:32? and Judging by their braking, may have shaken them up too!). Onwards!!
I find FSD is not fully reliable based on my experience. My car stopped several times for no reason, hard breaking, confusion in intersections etc… if I’m going to use it it has to be 100% reliable otherwise I don’t feel safe.
i’m sure this thought has crossed many peoples minds. has anyone tried just letting FSD make mistakes, and even if it crashes it crashes, and see if it actually self corrects in a scary situation, and it’s still ok? might be stupid and might have a crash straightaway, or only after a long time, but only one way to find out.
I think the data is fed back home for continues re-training and than updated version is fed back to the vehicle. the goal is not to crash at all. Correction might be more valuable than the actual crash.
Wow. I have a Model Y on HW3 and I'm impressed with HW4. I fear ours might not be at that level or it will take time for them to port the software but I'm hoping to have some flawless drives like that one day.
Now what would be cool is if using AI with something like Google Maps or Waze it could anticipate which lane to be in to move as quickly as possible past the crash, Anticipating lane flow to maximize
Honestly I find FSD handle these situations very awkwardly. It moved right a bit and move back left and forward and goes back right again. This happens to me all the time, it’s very painful for me and for the cars behind me.
FSD did the best that it could at the crash scene, but Navigate should never have put the car into the far left lane (where the crash was) or even the 2nd-from-the-left lane (which was partially obstructed). Doesn't the Navigate system get inputs from other Teslas, or other sources? Couldn't it have put the Tesla over 2 lanes, BEFORE the car reached the accident scene?
FSD on highway needs to have a way to turn off carpool and fast trak use, very annoying as I don't have access to those lanes but the car keeps wanting to go there. Otherwise, end to end highway is a HUGE step change improvement.
@nomercyriding I heard about that. It will shut off and penalize you for looking down and away from the road. Tries to catch you looking at your phone or sleeping. Heard you can get perma banned if you mess up 3-5 times. Something like that?
@@420Yes it looks for your pupils to be focused in a certain area as far as I can tell. It doesn't completetly shut of FSD for minor/short infractions. It also knows when you have your phone in your hand and is more penalizing during this time from my experience (it will warn you more often to pay attention). I haven't tested/pushed it yet, but as far as I understand it, you will get some sort of ban after ignoring attention reminders for 3 times.
You still need more than cameras since it couldn’t see a deer in the road in another video and ran over it without even slowing down the idea is to be better than humans not as good

Look I'm not bashing what Tesla has done and the quality, it's great, convenient, bud will I trust my life with it and go in a car with our a steering wheel, maybe one day but anytime in the immediate future, absolutely not. 🖕🏻
I trust no car to drive me unattended, but Tesla would definitely be my last choice. This to me is like if the Titan Submersible was on land, less chance of immediate death, but still there. You can't just use cameras and a bit of radar and expect to handle in all situations.

3:07 for Crash scene
imagne how fast accidents will be reported when millions of Tesla's can alert a database immidiately
V2V. need this asap! should have been in teslas since the first S!
Yeah !, so cool. Like automatic adding or subtracting it to wize or similar applications.
Imagine how few accidents there will be when most cars run o FSD. Instead SDH, Slow/dumb/ humans
Already can report on Apple and Google. So I think it’s getting done.
Imagine how few crashes there will be when most cars are running FSD and know where each other are at all times.
It handles the crash scene - not the crash.
Yet it's the safety car for impact protection. This is getting old seriously. Educate yourself

There's someone in the driver seat. They move their hand every once in a while, and you can make out their shoes and pants
Great only most Teslas can't do this yet...HW3 when is it getting upgraded to HW4
Is this real?
I thought drivers have to frequently touch the steering wheel when the Tesla is driving.
There is an in car, rear facing camera that monitors the drivers attention on the newer model.
