- If you're considering buying your first bit of hardware, this might be a great first option for you 👇🏻
I use this ALL the time...
It's the Tegeler Creme RC 🙌🏻
This is the ideal first bit of equipment for you because it has an EQ across the top in a Pultec style. It's also got an SSL style compressor on there too 👌🏻
The great thing about this is that it has boosts. It means you can boost the lows/highs and it has a really nice analog-sounding EQ 🤩
I use this at the front of my chain to get loads of top end on, or I'll use it to give the low end some whack 💥
This is the RC version which basically allows you to control it using a plugin, so you have the option of doing it that way or just controlling the knobs yourself 👀

Didn't take you for a knob feeler streaky 😂
He likes to touch up peoples low ends as well
Could you please make a video about how to integrate hardware with DAWs and speakers?
I very nearly got one of these until i looked inside one lol, theres nothing in there lol. I get their reasoning as its meant to be super clean so works on anything but for me personally that kinda defeats the object. If im paying money for something then it needs to have a vibe/sound or you might aswell just use a plugin. If only they at least put a transformer in there with a bypass button the best of both worlds. And the pulteck doesn't have any tubes so again no real sound, nothing you can't do with pro-q and super wide band.
I would like to add that even tho i said all that i still went and got one 🤦😂😁
@@deejayironlung Well, that's hilarious. Do you, now, think it DOES have a 'color'?
@@nilespeshay1734 im still waiting for it to arrive 😫 their telling me could be 4 weeks 😫. From what i see online they are very clean so no colour but the eq is meant to sound amazing and very musical
@@deejayironlungupdate ?
@@deejayironlungthoughts on it now that it’s been a year?
"Im always touching up peoples low end"
"I like feeling knobs"
Im noticing a theme here 😅
Right! Someones gotta sample that in a track and send it to you without any context 🤣
yeah like how much? $10,000 like his audio interface.
Nah, i saw this one for like 1k on ebay. Good value
"I like to feel knobs", pause
Any comment on the Avalon vt 747 please ? I think so valuable no ?
i'm totally touch feeling and i took regular creme no rc
How you use that compressor in different mixer traks?? For exsmple if you want to use it for your vocal and msybe for your Snare.. is just an example, i want to know, once you moved the knobs for your vocal, how can you use it again for other sounds?? I mean, f
With digital you just open istances in mixer traks and work with 10 same compressors in 10 different mixer traks if you want.. can someone explain?
Is there a decent plugin that emulates it?
I see u got that avalon. How do u like it?
wink wink nudge nudge. say no more!
Honestly, I won't say it's a great "first option" in terms of pricing.
Only when you've been producing a short while and already own a few premium plugins should you look into hardware. There is much cheaper hardware but generally plugins tend to sound better than the stuff priced cheap. It isn't cheap but you get what you pay for and if you want to take the next step then this certainly will help but it certainly isn't essential and very pricey to most hobbiest.
AFAIK there are no cheap mastering grade hardware units.
Your tips are very helpful streaky!! Keep it coming
What kind of preamp do u use
So everything I do is digital but I wanna start building. So my fist piece of equipment you said to get this. I don’t have any gear but an audio interface right now
I would advice on the SSL BUS+ instead. more versatile.
Lovely but 2Gs for an eq and compressor id rather just get a new mac and do it all itb
Everyone in the mastering community seems to say that Tegeler units have horrible headroom issues
Yeahhhh...that thing cost 2200 euros here 😮😅
What’s more fun to tweak? Knobs or Faders?
Yeah, I'll just put it on my black card
I love the angelic vocals to emphasize the epicness of the Cream
I got the Creme and I love it
I was looking at the Tegler and SSL Fusion. That's that question answered!
i got both. great combination! 👌🏻
I would take my SSL fusion over the tegler hands down any day. Not even close.
@arodalan3961 I guess it's need dependent. I think the fusion would work best for me for summing and pre or mixing duties. The tegler for building a mastering chain. Tx.
I went 500 route instead, got myself SSL Ultraviolet and Elysia xpressor.
What do you think of the SSL Fusion?
YOU LIKE TO FEEL WHAT MATE
How about getting a summing mixer first? What do you suggest
Not necessary in my opinion
A nice analog EQ or Compressor that does one job well like the Tegeler Creme will level up ur music A LOT more
Using it on ur mixbus will remove the need for lots of plugins too
But the price is...!?
He likes to feel knobs🤭
Even cheaper option for like half the price I’d reconsider the Warm Audio Audio EQ. Straightforward for beginners, adds some nice colour and can be used on many different occasions!
hell na might as well get a high grad plugin warm audio will be bad for mastering
Beautiful
❤ from Burundi 🇧🇮
Thanks dad
Loveee that
Only 1500 quid lol
if you don't do music as a job or even make any money from it you wont need it lol
Super cheap for what it is
1k on ebay, even barely used ones
That company has zero quality control. Equipment comes in battered boxes. Stay away. Seriously. Personal experience.
For me WES Audio. You are the expert on mastering though, certainly not me. If you get a good creme it is good indeed.
Not my experience.. zero issues with Tegeler equipment. Reasonably priced compared to other high end hardware..
more hardware please
Love mine lives on my mixbus 🎚
