When tracking you should definitely have a hardware compressor and a hardware external pre amp . Ever since I got a La2a style compressor and a Neve 1073 style amp my mixes been on another level .
@@legacyShredder1 Yup it was actually my pc drivers that were out of date . I downloaded a program called driver easy and literally over 50 drivers was out of date . Been working smooth ever since
Should do another series for beginners, what would you do to create a print track for recording through and the same basically in the box with plugins starting off. That would be dope. The technical term, and what a "Print Track" for recording in actually does. Be dope!
I’m looking to get a small mixer or a 500 series unit but I’m really looking to add more depth in my mixes . I have a lot of great plugins plus Apollo twin x but for some reason I am HEARING the difference between all in the box and a mix from albarosie studio or Tuff Gong. I make predominantly Reggae and trust me after 12 years using Ableton I know the difference. My mixes are very clean . Tough but too clean even when I use tape. Now I’m exploring with the Luna and uad API console emulations
I track vocals with my Roswell delphos 2 mic into Focusrite isa one and Antelope discrete 4 as my analog to digital converter, and man my vocals just sound butter!... definitely outboard pre or a compressor when it comes to tracking vocals👌
ive been engineering for 5 years now, recording mixing and mastering in my local area and online, and yet the most expensive piece of hardware, is my pc which is around 2500$, and then my interface is just an id4 mkii, and my mic is a 300$ mic, la220, always used waves plugins and some plugin alliance plugins, and just this year i started using UAD cause of the UAD spark, im not gonna say its going good, cause people dont pay me most of the times, when i record and mix their tracks, cause they are broke here in europe, but the Music sounds good,
Right now I’m using warm audio pre 1073 , and the warm wa2a with the Neumann u87 mic. What upgrade would you make next with my setup? I’m thinking real 1073 pre and cl1b compressor. And maybe a distressor
Have you looked into the Tegeler gear with the RC knobs and plugin to control it? I’ve been looking at the CREME RC.. seems like the best of both worlds but haven’t heard one work in person yet.
I mix all my music now in the box. I'm a very minimalistic person so I'll leave only my Tegeler Creme RC on my 2bus and it recalls the mastering Compressor and EQ on it with the digital plugin. It sound transparent so it really just enhances my mixes a lot. It's definitely worth it
Hey wavy, I have a problem. Everytime i will record in pro tools, my voice is soundong like robotic on my headphones. Afterwards in the daw the track is fine but its annoying for the artist to record. I dont know what to do. I already reset my i/o settings
I don't understand how the name of the program can have the word PRO if I constantly encounter glitches and freezes. It's just horrible. I tried to become a user of this DAW (before that I worked with cubase, studio one, now with reaper) being influenced by the marketing vibe (industry standard, used by top engineers) but it's just ridiculous. I feel very sorry for these poor people who have been tied to this garbage for years and cannot leave it.

Did you reinstall those drivers yet?

Definitely solid information… will be looking to add some additional hardware in as some plans come together this year.

Great content bro! You’re always on point! Thanks for everything you do for us 🙏🏿
If anything get a hardware channel strip to start off for tracking. Use software for mixing especially when first starting off
Just ordered a PreSonus Studio Channel

That’s really a solid vocal-chain bro… all Lauten mics are Great & Audient is one of , if not , The best interfaces in the game
I’m currently using the SSL 12 but I’m looking for external preamps, was thinking about the Grace m101

I’ve been thinking about going hardware!!! I wasn’t going to go overload with it!!!
This is a great starting place that you will be able to use throughout your career.
Thanks for explaining.
Congratulations on making big things in Atlanta Wayne props G ! Also bro you got too much speakers take some out to have less comb filtering ^^
What is that ticker box in the back???

Probably poor network performance, lack of memory or high CPU usage
At this time you can't make low end in the box like in analog gear. Mixes in the box always sound thiner. Don't convince newbies to mix in the box.
Hardware if you are tired of update and don’t mind recalling your stuff
Software if you don’t care
Hey what’s up bro how are you much love
12:42.. awkward silence then proceeds to pick hard boogers that got tangled up in the nose hairs... out the nostrils 😭🤣💀⚰️💯💯💯💪🏾🔥
Mixing with hardware hell no. Recording with a preamp sure but everything else in box
BH2 is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I mean, I was with you until you started digging your nose at 12:49 …. One just can’t unsee that….
he surely forgot to cut that scene off hahahaha
fiyah
