I wish they had the bolt on option for the 50 but unfortunately they do t offer it. There isn’t even holes in the existing counterweight to put something there. Great machine though.
How much do those logs weigh? The specs say max lift is 6000 pounds, so are they heavier than that? Or does it just get precarious when you reach out to lift?
Max lift is measured near ground level, close to the machine, over the front, with the blade down. The higher or the farther out you reach, or over the sides, the less you can lift.
@@wcfpd2007 just about all decent machines haves all ratings listed: over the side, front, back, with blade up, with blade down, arm close @ ground level, arm extended @ ground level, etc. I looked at quite a few, and learned a lot about many brands…. Ended up with a Bobcat E50 R2. It was best for our line of work (waterworks) for the money with government discount…
I added the bolt on counter weight to my E-60r2 made a noticeable difference when lifting. Bobcat hit a home run with this excavator.

Not sure on the weight of the logs One load is around 16,000 lbs the logs are heavy
Most of the logs are probably 2500 to 3000 lbs

Is the engine that mounts this machine Doosan D18 with 3 cylinders, or D24 with 4 cylinders?
