- This was a very good and enjoyable spot that seemed to be stocked well in northern virginia. Sadly, this delayed harvest artificial lure stream was seeing a poacher directly after a stocking. I dont know if it was unknowing or uncaring on his part, but I wanted to inform so others and myself can enjoy. I've seen a lot of waters in virginia being overharvested. I had a feeling like he knew the rules, but ya can only do so much.
It’s probably been almost 30 years since I fished that creek, but back in the day it was a fee fishery. Something like $10 for a day pass and you could keep 2 fish. That was in the park below the dam which is where I assume you were fishing.
The crazy thing was there were a few trout above the lake too back then. I remember seeing trout feeding and hooking trout on flies behind a park with a baseball field on the outside of the beltway maybe one exit up from the Annandale exit.
Nice to see they still stock it. It’s amazing to have that kind of fishing opportunity that close to the city.
Do you know if the Northern VA Trout Unlimited club still stocks Four Mile Run Creek with trout in March?
I am not sure? I've fished a few areas on four mile but I've never seen a stocking of it. But I appreciate the watch man! I hope you enjoyed!

Honestly not too sure. Might go do another video there sometime soon to see what's still living in there. Thanks for watching

Interesting there's trout fishing. I used to catch them when I was your age. Back then we could still eat what we caught. These days I go hiking by the waterways with a small shovel and a backpack. You never know what you'll find near those little creeks across America where trout go into the little creeks. Some of my biggest trout were caught in shallow creeks. You'ld think they could go in them, generally they don't.

Accotink gets poached almost immediately every stocking...they need cameras there!!! I heard they come in with nets at night too...I HOPE YOU CALLED DNR! He likely did not even have a license...
Yup made a call but they were already out of the office for the day. Happens way too often.
